Wow. You think I'd just show up and tell them? Letting them know and telling them in person are not necessarily the same thing!
We will leave a suitable amount of "bread crumbs" for them to "discover" the "truth". The Mon-keighs will probably end up thanking us. :p
  2. I'm sure they'll throw your craftworld a cyclonic surprise party in celebration;)

This short story did not seem to permanently kill a major character/kill in a way that would severely nerf/cripple them.

Even if the additional spirits for some reason didn't work in complete harmony with one another, you know, like the, do in all other Eldar constructs(vehicles, weapons, Craftworlds, etc. etc.), I'm pretty sure after thousands and thousands of years Jain Zar would be able to just ignore them. So, I'm with you on this being an absolute mistake. Jain Zar would not question whose memories she was witnessing because they are HER memories. Whomever they used to belong to is now Jain Zar.

You are right. Eldar do not kill for pleasure.

Really, really wondering what goes through Graham McNeill's mind when he's writing about Eldar. Stick to your Space Marines, buddy.

Boy, am I behind on the times. I have no idea what half this thread is talking about. What do people mean tha captain used to be an Ultramarine? Was there a previous version of the story that was different? Also, what's all the hub bub about people getting butt flustered over the last story? Was it because Jain got warped up? Pfft, as if death is a problem for a Phoenix Lord. Last time a PL went to the warp he came out with a craftworld and a new gun.

  5. when this story was first posted the marine described was an Ultramarine Captain, Then the devs ninjaed a new verison of it that replaces the ultrasmurf with a Dark Angels captain. Everyone just likes it better when a Smurf gets murdered.

The second story was the first post of it had a Phoenix lord Die, And In case you don't know your eldar lore, If the Soul stone( or da fuk its called) Gets destroyed ALL the memories and the previouses host that were inside of it are destroyed as well, So basically the story made it seem that you had an Un-exeperienced Jain Zar fighting against a Warlord Ork, And Abby, who is on the level of a Primarch, Thus making the Eldar very under powered. Yes they can recover the armor but its the years of experience and wisdom that would've been lost. Etc..eTc... eldar fluff

So in other words, people getting but hurt over nothing. There has never been anything definitive on how Phoenix Armour works and how much it can be destroyed. The story doesn't even hint at this being the case.

.... on the Path, no... off of it, who can say?

The Hound of the Warp story spoke of Spirit stones flaring to cinders, never making the distinction that it was only the Howling Banshees Spirit Stones and not Jain Zar's as well. Therefore, if the Spirit stones of her armor flared to cinders and her souls were loosed, then all those souls/all that knowledge is gone from the armor.

Simply stating that she was the last to die does not automatically make her exempt from the manner of death, which was Spirit stone flaring and soul loosening.

  9. Killing for pleasure and getting pleasure from killing are two different things.

Am I supposed to believe that the arrogant species of elves doesn't enjoy besting those they see as their inferiors?
  10. She just enjoy the fight and killing the main target of hers.
