Now it runs into a help for everyone thread? ^^ I do not have a problem with that but would have loved if more ppl would help out in general here @Peanus in your position I would rather go multi-screen which has more use except you want 1 big gaming site. I really loved back then my 2 Screens over 1 single one, especially if you browse a lot or keep chat windows open, etc. But there is a lot of cheap Screens in your desired size! http://www.amazon.com/LG-1080p-Slim...=UTF8&qid=1385571790&sr=1-24&keywords=Monitor http://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-VA2...e=UTF8&qid=1385571790&sr=1-1&keywords=Monitor http://www.amazon.com/AOC-e2752She-...e=UTF8&qid=1385571790&sr=1-3&keywords=Monitor http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-2...e=UTF8&qid=1385571790&sr=1-8&keywords=Monitor at least I think those are great deals ^^
Kinda overkill if we compare the cpu/gpu together. Usually buying pre-built stuff has it's own risks though. Do you have any local computer shop where you could go and bring a list of parts and they'd put it together? Sorry for off-topic. OP, I got a few suggestions for you^^ Laptop==> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834312829 Those cpu's will also be using mantle (if you know what that is.) Surround System==> http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001202C44...5&creativeASIN=B001202C44&tag=cnet_mp-3021-20 5.1 surround. "Budget" price^^ But it's geting really nice reviews. Hope these help. I ain't an expert, but I know a bit about electronics^^
It really depends on what he plans to play. If he is going for the next gen games and such.. having those kinds of specs are a necessity. I am running a core i7 quad 3.6ghz with a gtx 770 2gb, 24gb of RAM, 1500gb worth of HDD, evga x79 ftw mobo, and then the resr is just monitor and accessories.
Thanks GitzStompa! though the laptop has only 6 GB instead of 8GB lol The surround system though seems pretty good, will look further into it! Soooo regards the Laptop I looked at a "few" candidates..... Well, you listed it should be around 6gb-8gb lel. But I understand what you ment by that. 8gb laptop for that price range without the sacrifical of potent gpu/processor power, is really hard to find. As for those laptops you listed, The difference between their performance is really really small. Personally, I'd go with either the one you marked as your "personal favourite", or the first one. The performance difference though is really really small. So if you'd like to save a little bit of money, go with the first one. But if you really want to spend that extra money on the beter one, go with that^^
Of how much performance difference are we talking here? And thanks for your help! I knew it was hard to find *took me like 2-3 days till I found all those fancy laptops* but that is why I made this thread
The performance difference is about.. yrrgh I'd say somewhere around 1-2 fps when playing games. The hardware is nearly identical so the difference is really small. Not an expert on laptop "mobile" hardware, lel.
Its like you are insulting my laptop lol. I do not want any fancy super modified unique tailored battlemachine for me..... All I want is play some good old games pretty smooth and perhaps some newer ones on low.... ^^ AAAAND AMD chip / GPU.... Anyway thanks for all your help guys now just if you guys find other Surround sound systems let me know! ^^
