But I'm kind of bad at it, because I usually get bored in the middle and quit. So, instead I picked up an advice from, I believe, Gazrick, logged in and recorded a game. Oh I'm not saying pistol Sluggas don't work at all, just wondered if people have swapped over since the changes. Pegasus is pretty forgiving for melee though, such tiny rooms and hallways there's hardly any ranged play on 80% of the map. Good choppin tho
My main issue with the shield is that it’s… just not really useful, in my opinion. It allows you to slowly close some distance under fire, yes. But the thing is, you generally don’t want to be seen at all until you get in their faces, and short to medium gaps you can already close by rolling and controlled lunges. You also have no dakka with the shield, so gits can just run away, especially when dey are panzies. Well, them tiny cap rooms are universal. I recorded a few more games yesterday, against panzies on Medusa and spikey boys on Olypsis (complete with AC spam like there is no tomorrow), and the results were the same, if not better. Take CSM game, for example: the start was rough, at some point we lost everything back to Chaos, and there was a git who kept whining about how we "already lost the game" from the very beginning. And then something clicked Spoiler View: https://youtu.be/tVVzJ0mh6Uk the Bruva slugfest finally began, we pushed through, won, and I ended up with 30-something kills and 2 or 3 decaps, quite ahead of even the most dakkiest of boys. If you're interested I can download the good parts about me rolling under AC fire and krumpin' gitz, but my point is that you don't need no shield when you can roll. And rock. Also, why da zog do I get so much lifesteal on my choppa? I still run Impact-Penetration.
If you don't have lifesteal mod on your choppa you shouldn't be getting any, there is no passive lifesteal anymore. Unless you're running that Ghost Choppa? It's got built in lifesteal but it's non moddable isn't it?
Weird. I thought I've missed something in the patchnotes, because I've been getting free lifesteal not only on my choppas, but on my chainswords and powerswords too. No, it's the usual one.
Funny you should mention that as i have recently noticed that my self first i thought was a dok nade but nope my choppa had lifesteal
Yeah you'll see the red graphic and everything, kinda wish I knew what triggered it. For what it's worth I've never seen it on a knife, only melee weapons that have the potential to have the lifesteal mod.
