I agree also. I mean we all started off at their level so why not help them grow and not stomp them into the ground and hope that the stay with the game as we all have.
Yep, the only ones we might call noobs with some kind of right is those who actively refuse to learn anything even after several hours. Not those who are just new.
How, exactly, are we supposed to "not stomp them into the ground" when we slaughter them without even trying? You all can piss and moan about elitism all you like. The fact remains that the LSM are now super-saturated with new players, to an extent far exceeding even the bad days straight after release. I tried switching up and playing LSM, but trying to help just results in a torrent of abuse from new players. LSM is now full of new players who don't want to learn: ie noobs.
ALL factions are full of new players. And we can not really actively try to not kill them, that would help nobody. But we should try to help the new people on our side by giving advice and orders over the chat. So at least those who care to read and learn would take something with them.
The past days after F2P went live the chat flurish with " LSM noobs, F2P noobs" F''ck F2P noobs, damn F2P noobs lost our game etc etc etc. I dont know bout you, but unless you learn stuff in the speed of light after 4 matches ( taken the server stays up that long ) and the ammount of new players ( first time playing ) each and every match it will take a bit of time before any new player learns anything. I played for 5 hours last night and each match had a maximum of 3 Rank 5/6 players and the rest was rank 1 and we won as LSM and as Chaos playing against both Ork and Eldar. I had the role of leader over Alpha squad in one of them and after tellling my squad to stick together and not play Rambo the match took a turn for the better and we held B like an iron fist against those pesky Orks. We didnt win, but those "noobs" people like to reffer to learned something. Ofc we got the usual LSM noobs, but in faction chat on LSM side ppl expressed that it was a good fight non the less.
I would be really content with the server issues if not for the fact that couple of weeks ago, during one of the streams, Nathan said that they have a lot of unused server capacity and when needed can add easily more servers to handle more people. I guess they didn't expect so many people being interested in the game.
It's been f2p for like 2 days half of them don't even know the fucking controls yet. Calm the hell down and try to help them out. If it was a few weeks in or whatever then you could start to get upset. You and people like you who screech and get pissed off with brand new players not understanding a game right off the bat are exactly while people say this game has a trash community and don't stick around. Try to be more understanding.
Im mostly silent or answer for some of their questions and do AV work cose noone have meltabombs. And any new dragon is with plasma grenade lul. Im happy to see such many ppl, but i cant even play with them cose of fking servers bullshit. FIX it bE or we will buy a tickets for plane, go to Canada and blow up your office.
This is an oldie, but I feel it's still quite relevant and up-to-date on the whole 'noobs' discussion:
