Sentinels Of Terra - A Warning

  1. But SoT doesn't really contradict that, is what I'm trying to tell you. It's got plot holes, yeah, but holes =/= contradiction.

    see above

See: Narek. Loyalist WB, not exactly atheist, but hates Lorgar, doesn't believe in the Gods.

I respect Kilbo's opinion after reading his informed posts, but you haven't even read the book. Wow.

    Uh
Yeah bro. Sleepy much? I'm not going berzerk, I just didn't 'snip' all the quotes.
If you want to blast my post length, Kilbo had two massive posts of nothing but paragraphs...you're coming across as trying to bait me, man.

So the fact that i did not read the book makes me incapable of expressing an opinion? If you read my posts you would propably notice that im talking about general topics that are brought up and are often encountered in the franchise. Im not refering to the book. Also Killbo makes sense. You just repeat yourself. And the word bearer you talk about is not a main character. I said so again but i guess im not the only sleepy one here. Its ok to have some contradictions as long as they are not the face and they are just some side-noob who no one cares about. And also , after checking , i found out he is a damn HH character.....Are you kidding me? Hello , Istvan? Every traitor legion had loyalists in its numbers. Do you hope of tumbling me because somehow i cannot google a name? Cmon man , seriously......
  3. No, it's just that you're acting like SoT destroys what the Fists are about, and it really doesn't. Yes, I understand Kilbo's point of it's not terribly well written at all, but Fists are still about fortification. They just have to be more flexible in the aftermath of the Heresy. Hence their propensity to be good at siege battles.

Tumbling you? I don't even...I'm just offering an example. That's all. What do you mean, 'hope of tumbling' you?

Its an expression , excuse me if it doesnt work in english , its not my native language. I meant it as in "win our argument by using false evidence to prove your statements." Anyway , once more my posts concern the general approach on a chapter and how i feel the author must treat it. As i said , i havent read said book but from what people say , i took the chance to comment about this phenomenon in a wider area. I dont mind if you like it , its all a matter of taste. Everyone loves the Night Lord books , i absolutely hate them. None can enforce an opinion , especially when it comes to taste. Im just saying that there are several red lines that must be kept at all times. Otherwise you will have fanon better than the canon and the franchise will rot from the inside out.

No need to be personally offended or anything , im not looking to fight anyone , just discussing with fellow wh40k fans. Imo , few sights are as ridiculous as keyboard berzerkers fighting over something that does not even affect them in any way. Cheers.
  5. It's an example, and if you can't see that, then whatever. Not my problem. It's an example, not of a face WB, but of a WB that goes against the grain, and that adds to the flavour of any Legion/chapter. I like spice. If you don't, then that's your thing, and that's the beauty of 40k, everyone has their own flavor.
Besides 5th ed and the disaster that was, in general, 6th ed seemed to be a semi-attempt at retconning some of the events that Ward introduced (so far as 6th ed Daemons essentially mentioning Kaldor Draigo falls to Slaanesh) and even The Emperor's Gift by ADB taking a jab at it. I don't think that SoT crossed any red lines, even if 5th ed did. In general, 40k adheres for the most part to the idea of 'everything is canon'. Obviously not everything is canon, but everything within the realm of possibility.
I'm not trying to enforce an opinion on anyone. I don't know why you think that I am. I even lessened on my own opinion, as evidenced by my own quoted post. Why do you keep bringing this up?

Maybe your language barrier is affecting this communication, but I don't think I'm coming across as 'personally offended'. If expressing an opinion about a genre that I enjoy falls under that, then whatever. I guess I find the description that you want to apply to me, keyboard berzerker fighting over something that does not affect them in any way, amusing. In a way, this does affect people, because they will projectedly buy this supplement and use its rules. By that definition, any reviewer is a keyboard berzerker, as is everyone on Space Battles, Stardestroyer.net, people who discuss at length good/bad rules and stats for all manner of games...

Damnit, Ward got his hands on another book.
Farseer Urist and SonOfLorgar like this.
  7. I know, right?

What is a siege master, without another siege master to test his mettle against?
