Some people will have probably seen by now the interview to Miguel Caron by Cosmicengine, and amongst all of the cool facts he shares, there's this bit in the video which I'm not sure if it's an example/joke, or if it's actually where Arkhona is. Check it out, I can't paste the video at a specific time but go to 20:20 : View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvVQHhanE-o&feature=player_detailpage&list=WL#t=1220 He sounds pretty serious so I guess this is really where Arkhona is. Funny that the System is named Caron, but it does kind of sound like a 40K planetary System xD. What do you guys think? Does this make it official?
If I had to guess, I'd say it was spelled Charon. Still a pun on his name, but a little more meaningful.
we will see a balthazar mountain, ghozland dessert, lumpkin river? (lumpkin sounds to me like sheep, dont know why )
Charon, or Kharon, in Greek Mythology is the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly dead across the rivers that divide the dead and living worlds. Of course with his name being so close it could be a play on his name.
Certainly the symbology would explain the importance of the region, at least from a Chaos/Imperial perspective. A new way to ferry souls out of the Eye would warrant a full crusade from both sides. Well if I think about it, Eldar would be involved to also thwart Chaos, and the Orks, well its a big fight at that point, no other reason is needed.
