(second post has been edited due to Asheru locking the first. This post meets Code of Conduct.) This isnt an 'xxxx are OP' thread in the slightest. This is meant to let the player base and the devs know (if they do not already) that thexxxx possess a secret class that wields the most powerful weapon in the game! (okay i am being a little sarcastic) What class you ask? The Pilot! A deviant xxxxx drunk on road rage! Worshipper of Cegorach and the asphalt-aspect of Khaine (thats a red-asphalt pun for those not from California) Its uber weapon of annihilation? Something more deadly than a team-killing maniac wielding a thrice-linked plasma cannon? Yes. More lethal than Khorne himself 'Axing' the enemy a question? Yes. But what could it be? Surely a developer wouldn't place such a weapon in the hands of ADD riddled man-children! The answer may surprise you: Eldar Vehicles. Pick one. doesnt matter. Now everyone likes road kill. Its fun. However xxxx grav tanks are capable of creating roadkill on a whole new level.try 45 kills in medusa relay - ALL of them roadkill. Enemy transport? dont blow it up!! simply park a wave serpent close by and wait like a hungry predator for the little goodies to come out.You can make their debarkation points limited by pushing it against a wall if necessary. Even if they come out on the opposite side the xxxx craft can easily maneuver around and squish them beneath its anti-grav goodness. Hiding behind a box? no problem, thanks to xxxx technology we can drive over that box and land on the other side quicker than rhinosand wartrucks and then spin around until the poor sod on the other side is reduced to a fine paste. Now I am not going to offer solutions, its not my job. What is my job is to point out that the Devs have no damn clue on how to balance this game. Seriously stop xxxxx away at xxxxx and pay close attention to the 'meta' you have established in this game. most development begins ata baseline and then things are altered from that consistent and immutable beginning. Though after playing all races and testing the various weapons and builds I can safely say that no baseline was ever established--if it was then the math-gods have forsaken it long ago. My recommendation to the Devs is to take two steps back and take a long hard look at what you have made. Salvage it by rebuilding andreinforcing that 'baseline', that precious demarcation point that defines the origin and balance of all things. Simply using hot-fixes as digital duct-tape will succeed in only poisoning the roots that feed Eternal Crusade, and in the end cause it to wither and die. Feel free to hire me. I can help you. Its what I do.
Eldar grav-tanks are very difficult to deal with, if only because they are very fast. Lascannon locks are very hard, meltabomb placement is nearly impossible, and meltagun application is extremely difficult. I'm not sure what the solution is exactly, since I think the manner of movement and speed are lore-accurate. One I can immediately think of is to reduce the number which can be spawned. One less seems fair. Another would be to tweek turning speed or boost speed. Finally, road kill could possibly slow or even damage the vehicle. Any or all of these would help.
Occasionally I manage to kill one with a Klaw that was trying to run me over..get that Heavy Attack animation off juuuuust in time. It's very, very satisfying when it happens. Because right now the score is like Me 4 - Eldar Vehicles 97 on kills heh.

maybe if their tanks could not insta kill you when touching your character at a slower than walk speed... would be a nice first step imo!
Random idea popped into my head - Perhaps the Eldar vehicles should carry significantly more momentum (not top speed) than they do currently? This would make them a lot harder to drive since they would take longer to stop or turn. It doesn't directly nerf them, but raises the level of driving skill needed to perform these mass road kills. It would also lead to a lot of hilarious moments for everyone involved of Wave Serpents speeding off cliffs on Medusa into the lava. Additionally, the speed required to actually kill someone should be increased, and the stun duration for being bumped at low speeds should be reduced, allowing you to escape after being bumped, rather than just stunned and waiting for the inevitable.
Eldar vehicles are very squishy and i did not see any problem from skilled melta player to blow my tanks. And yes i am one of those cursed who roadkill you and ride proudly around. I specialize on vehicles and play mainly vehicle-oriented armoured Saim-Hann FD. I think it's balanced how squishy the Eldar vehicles are. Just try to play (as eldar) and you will see that all this is counterable. I've met CSM/LSM/Ork players that evade perfectly roadkills and blow my vehicles by proper juking and dodging with meltas in seconds. If you suppose you should run in straight predicatble line and remain alive vs pro vehicle player i think you are really wrong here.
Fallacy, total fallacy. In fact, I quite often kill a Pred or Rhino with Klaw in less hits than an Eldar vehicle because their hitboxes are so janky due to the floating and having to look up to hit it.
