In GoW you were able to slowly crawl out of danger and to your teammates, but you couldn't defend yourself.
The Guard dies Standing. The Marines dies drowning in Enemy Corpses. Or in Metal Bawkses. You Choose.
I would like to see something closer to what Defiance uses. You have self revive once every 5ish minutes, if that is on cooldown or if someone (healer)gets to you soon enough they can revive you. While you are downed you can crawl to cover/other players. You only have about 60-80 seconds before you bleed out.
I described a similar idea in my post here: http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/thr...o-like-healer-mechanic.2183/page-2#post-67748
You refer to CoD series final stand / second chance pro i'm assuming... I hated that mechanic. It was pointless once people learned how to negate it effectively.
Well on Deathwatch the RPG you can fight after your are almost dead without suffering penalties, and die instantly at the end of battle, its called Heroic Sacrifice. It would be a cool ability to have, especially on higher levels. As for the Dreadnoughts, my opinion is that if we see them, it should be in the way of a specilization, meaning you choose that for your character and have to live with it for the rest of his career. Perhaps a second class at some higher level. I made a similar recomendation about Deathwatch too, Chaplains should also fall in this category.
