Nope, because those scripts are nothing more than a trojan horse to workaround the consequences of cheating, are used to achieve the same ends, and thus are no better than usage of an actual hack.
Coming from an older generation of gaming my thoughts are that the players are the one to fight, not their scripts or hardware!
I cant see a difference in having used a script or cheat and then claiming to have done the deed himself: You can fool yourself only, not me!

as long the script dosnt affect the Gamyplay, then yes. Something on the line like Text massages, or Emote (" Fall Back", "out of ammo", etc) Thats ok. But i think all of that will be implimentet by the devs, if not, we can ask the do work on it.

Yep, a chat wheel similar to the one Dota 2 uses, there is a thread about it but I don't remember in wich forum or the name of the thread...

    No need for scripts IMO

Battlefield series used commo rose for that and it wasnt bad, some options could have been replaced with more functional ones but doesnt change the fact that it functions.

  6. According to Patrick Balthazar, it looks like scripts in general will not make an appearance of any sort unless the community demands it. With this said, now that we have a definite answer, should we ask for scripts in the form of communications shortcuts as seen in TF2 and Dota 2 to allow quicker communication or simply force everyone to type what they need and learn to adapt?

Project Reality took it a step further by not only having two commo roses like Battlefield, but having almost all the selections have different options for left click/right click, plus on each of them the center option would open a vertical menu, and to top it all off the Q menu was context-sensitive.

However, PR was the type of game where that still wasn't enough by itself. To really reach the necessary level of teamwork, the trick was to master the commo roses *and* use a microphone.

Scripts are right out though. The main use for scripts is to fire semi-auto weapons as if they were machineguns, and that has no place in the game. :/

It's especially bad in older games that didn't cap the RoF of semi-auto weapons (like Counterstrike), because they just assumed that nobody could click fast enough for it to matter.

Really if you need to communicate something that doesn't fit inside a VO menu or commo rose, that's what VOIP is for. Scripts are a no-go.

When I think scripts I think tf2 medic saying I don't know what the rest of you guys are talking about
  9. When I think scripts, I think the annoying homing rockets for the soldier in TF2 where they type in RTD into chat and it changes the properties of the rocket they last fired
