"Hm, you can tell them that positions of power await for all who join me and the Crimson Moon, but any specifics will be worked out once they bow their heads to me. We are the strongest Kabal on this tier so they would be wise to listen to reason." "As for the time-frame, simply put - sooner you get it done the sooner I'll be able to once again think about your new status in my Kabal. If you prolong it for too long, I might even forget about you entirely and unwanted and unknown guests are bound to receive a special treatment," he added casually, his eyes flickering towards where his hound was lying, before turning his attention back to the newcomers. Archon listened to Aesra's words but failed to take the bait. Instead, he smiled enigmatically. "How fortunate of you to mention that fact Beastmaster. The way I see it, those Kabalites as well as that item you now have were my property. Now you owe me three warriors and their equipment, as well as a new knife. So I would put all of my efforts into recruiting some from the Severed Hope kabalites if I were you, so I don't start collecting my debt from you directly. Piece by piece." "As for any specific weakness, other than the normal things those of their ranks are famous for, I known of none. But I'm sure if you are to observe them or get to know them better, an opportunity will arise for you to exploit. Which means that direct path into violence might not help you as much as you wish here. Although it will be appreciated," he added, nodding at the end.
Instead of asking a more useful question she knew she wouldn't get a straight answer for, Surion merely straightened herself, and angled her head slightly. Smiles and humour had drained from her face by now. There was a slight indication of mulling to her tone, a metaphorical grinding of gears, when she asked "Do you have a forger at your court, Lord Archon?"
Bowing his head slightly Aesra responded to the Archon. "Of course Archon Zar'uil, I will find some more 'fitting' of the Crimson Moon's stature." Of course he would need to recoup the ones he killed, but it also meant that the Archon had seen his abilities. He remained silent as the others asked their own questions. He had much to prove if he wanted a place within the Crimson Moon. And he also had just the opportunity to do so.
"I do not, but I hope to gain one after this is over," Archon replied to Surion, implying the obvious. "There is a lot of work to be had here and I would be willing to provide workplace, supplies and the satisfaction of having your work used properly and often. Or in other words, to be a true patron of the art." Turning around, he flicked his fingers and two Kabalite warriors stepped out from their place next to a nearby statue. "If that is all, these two will lead you into armory to prepare for the task ahead." OOC once you are done with the briefing, feel free to move into armory phase. There, you may take 3 grenades, any mix of those ofc - even three of the same kind etc (plasma, haywire, smoke, blind, poison) and 1 dose of combat drugs (Serpentin (d6 bonus on your next d3 attacks) or Adrenalight (an extra attack for d3 rounds). Keep in mind that, due to the fact Dark Eldar combat drugs are highly toxic, after the effect wears off I'll roll an additional dice for possible drawback such as losing some hp, getting stunned, etc. Therefore taking combat drugs is optional. Also, once in armory, you are free to talk about the mission and the plan you gonna use in private, just keep in mind to use <Armory> tag for more clarity EDIT armory is couple of levels beneath the Archon's chamber inside the Spire, you can emote getting there yourself ofc.
<Thû> <Audience Chamber> Throughout the Archon's briefing, Thû maintains his eerie silence, listening and gleaning all he can from Zar'uil's exposé, as well as the responses of the gathered prospects. Already, a plan begins to foment in the shadowed depths of his unfathomably alien mind. <Armoury> When Zar'uil dismisses the lot of them to the Armoury, Thû bows his way out in silence. Falling in behind the two Incubi, he politely clears his throat to announce his presence. @Wata @Vlayden "A moment of your time, honourable Sieur and M'mselle. This one has a plan that might expedite the success of the task placed before us. If Sieur and M'mselle are interested, that is...?" His manners impeccable, his tone as cultured as any noble of High Commorragh. His identity obscured by a midnight-blue robe and minimalist skull masque, his speech in courtly third person, he could handily pass for a noble at a masquerade, or a high-class actor entertaining at the same. OOC Spoiler Needless to say, Death from Darksiders 2 was my primary inspiration for Thû's mask. [\spoiler]
<Armory> With nothing more to be said, Aesra followed the escorts to the armory. Grabbing two plasma grenades and a haywire grenade he settled in waiting for the others to speak. After all they would need a plan on moving forward rather than blindly running into the fray.
<Armoury> With this turn of events, Heltherith followed the escorts to the armoury. Course upon the arrival, she immediatly helped herself to three plasma grenades, considering that they were rather versatile little devices. However, she didn't pick up any combat drugs, considering that she'd spent way too much time on such things long ago and wasn't interested in taking more killers. With the discussion of a plan, Mertrixa said "As far as I'm concerned, we pick on of the successors and support them to victory in exchange for their loyalty to the Crimson Moon while conveniently having their forces weakened so that once our chosen successor has the rest of the Kabal under their command.... They don't have that much of a choice of accepting the Crimson Moon taking over their territory fully given their lack of manpower, but rewarded with a good position within the ranks for accepting our aid. That should be the best way to secure a timely success, in my views."
As they headed down to the Armory the warriors mind was running feverntly thoughts and plans churning in his mind but one thought owned his mind , how did that beastmaster , crude as he was get Aerith's knife ?! He would get an answer soon enough. Though he held little love for the fellow warrior ge still did have hold some for his fellow. < Armory > As he arrived in the Armory he grabbed some armaments to compliment his own though he'd use them for discretion taking 2 plasma grenade and a poison grenade to flush foes from cover. He looked about the room seeing the figure he'd seen by the Archon's side in the room with them , an Evaluater ? Interesting eeeing as he was conversing with the incubi , he made a note of it before contiuing on. @kanila Ave'ras walked over to the beast master and offered him a polite smile laying a hand on his shoulder "why hello there , might i pester you with a few questions ? I wish to not waste any of our time so if you dont mind answering my questions. First of which being how did you procure that blade ?" He points to the crimson blade at his hips
@bossaroo Turning to look at the kabalite, he reached down grabbing the knife from its place on his belt. "This little beauty?" He said as he flipped it into the air, catching it by its handle again. "As I was finished looking at the slave pits I heard a growling, so I went to see what beast was making it." Point back up towards the Archon's chamber before continuing. "It was that beast, of course I never found it down below." Spiraling the blade in his hand several times before stopping to continue. "But what I did find were 5 kabalites, the one who owned this seemed to be the leader of the misfits. Well some words were said, he wanted my Razorwings for a meal and of course threatened me if he didn't get his way." Placing the knife back in his belt again before looking at the kabalite. "I still have all of my Razorwings but that upstart is now 3 friends less, as well as this blade." He watched the kabalite intently, maybe this was another of the troublemaker's friends.... but again maybe not.
@kanila When he heard the story he sighed exasperatedly and rubbed his temples "Aerith the complete dolt" he shook his head before looking up to the beastmaster's face and cursed his height for a breif moment. "Well then i suppose there would be no way i could procure the knife from you now is there ?" He shook his head chuckling slightly before looking the beast master up and down he looked like he could be useful in th long run
