Kaesar was about to laugh from the pain but it stifled in his throat as he looked upon the girl, not wanting to admit it but the sight was more than disturbing to him. Even if it was a beautiful naked woman, which he thoroughly also enjoyed. The sudden forceful attack had caught him off guard, seriously rattled him. He really didn't know how to react to any of this, instead just staring angry confused murder at the lady. He crawled backwards toward the wall, away from her, avoiding her outstretched hand. Once he was backed against the wall, he slowly stood up and placed a hand on his side to soothe his broken rib. "What..do you want? Who are you?" Kaesar's voice was venomous. Enemies of flesh and blood were to his liking, they died like anything else. "You're not scaring me! Begone!"
Going from taking food from the kitchen(and avoiding Gorm's food unless she wanted a very interesting career trajectory that likely involved being chained to the Archon's throne) to being accosted by the spy, Heltherith smiled almost apologetically as she said: "Well, it would be quite the story considering we were glorified, Pre-Fall wine gatherers, and having to deal with metal Mon'Keigh thanks to one of the Incubi being rather enterprising in terms of diplomacy. So, anything we could have gotten from them is likely to be found in the hands of the Mechanicum, if not outright destroyed by their clumsy hands." A perhaps crude deception laced with elements of the truth, but her role as potential spy-master and at the very least information gatherer, which meant actually being competent at her current and (potential) role in the Kabal. That and she just wanted to get this out of the way, so she could see if the slaves had anything interesting to say before moving onto networking with the rank and file.
Not stepping down for the chance to participate in another butchery of lesser creatures, Hetax move towards the current arena coordinator, "I wish to join the next *meatgrinder*" He said. his new arm almost twitching with excitement for being used for the first time, not mattering that it was just butchering failed experiments and lesser creatures, some pleasure could still be had of it.
<Kadara> @Kalle Blow came out of nowhere. One moment the Alpha was just standing there, next his fist struck Kadara directly in her chin, sending her "flying" backwards and falling on her ass couple of meters away from the ledge. Like his wings, the Alpha's arms were also reinforced, the information Kadara learned the hard way. Returning her haze on him, she saw that he was now holding a blaster pistol, directly aimed at her head. "When asked, you are to give short and precise answers only. Leave the cockiness for the rest of the ground walkers, we work under different rules out here. Information is power and we alone are responsible for using it to suit our needs, our clients are counting on us to deliver the missives to them in the exact way we received them so any sort of added embellishments are a sure way to get you killed. Manipulation of the truth is strictly forbidden...unless a higher bidder approaches. Now let us try again." "What is your name, who do you work for and why are you here?" <Thû> @Draconion Standing his ground and staring down at the strange visitor was indeed a bold move, one that could reveal a lot to the Mandrake while in turn could perhaps damn his soul (of already questionable status). Peering into the red eyes of the bird, Thû became aware that the thing actually had two heads instead of one, or perhaps the second one just recently appeared there and wasn't there before. Finding unable to draw away from its gaze, in its eyes he saw a troubling sky and a thunder cracking across it, hitting a lone tower in the middle of a grey desert. He saw a man with the leering skull instead of a head standing in the middle of a field with a scythe, reaping grass but then instead of grass, he saw that the man was scything through a sea of skeletons. He saw a mon-keigh city on fire, the vivid mist climbing from the edges all the way up to the top, engulfing everything in its path. Then there was a shard of silver on the horizon, rising like a fallen star and spreading its touch to the entire landscape, turning everything present into dust while creating new shapes, both wonderful and horrifying, filled with life. Thû was also aware that throughout all of this the two-headed bird was present, sometimes right in the middle of it, sometimes standing on the sides perched on top of a withered tree, just like the first time he saw it. There was something alluring to it, a reward of wisdom hidden behind its frail looks and he just had to stretch his hand to grab it...
Thû decides he has seen enough and turns to run for dear life, or the aethereal equivalent thereof, seeking the paths of shadow within the bright madness of the Warp, soothing, familiar darkness, calm and safe, to follow back to the waking world.
OOC since parts for both @bossaroo and @Grall_Stonefist have Kouron in them (I fucked up), let's say all of this is happening in different instances of time for the sake of continuity <Ave'ras - hunting grounds> @bossaroo Under command of drill officer Ave'ras, three Raiders filled with recruits speared towards the set of ruined hab blocks couple of clicks away from the outlying fortresses surrounding the music festival, even out here the "fresh" Sybarite could hear the sounds coming from that gathering which could perhaps add a nice background to what he was about to do. Landing at the edge of the area, Ave'ras spotted the Seneschal engaged in talks with another Sybarite he was quite familiar with. Aerith gave Ave'ras a nod and went about his business while Kouron turned to face the newcomer. "I wasn't aware you'll be coming as well and I see you brought friends," the Dracon frowned, not impressed by the newest batch of recruits. "Cannon fodder. Perhaps we should send them in instead of slaves, would save us some money," he gestured towards the dwindling group, indeed there was less and less of them as the hours passed. But sure enough, lots of Ur-ghul corpses were dragged out of the ruined hab blocks, so perhaps they were making progress. "Why are you here Ave'ras? Got bored with the stronghold and you wanted to do some sightseeing?"
Almost immediately at hearing the sounds, Venessia whirled around and with her leg muscles kicked the door down; her eyes scanned the room briefly before shuffling over towards Kaesar, her Punisher held up. Admittedly she had little idea on what might've occurred. She knew that if anything, it wasn't something that he would've done; if there was some 'action' occuring then there'd at least be carnal noises as well, not just... Smashing against a wall.
Ave'ras nodded to Aerith as he went by making a mental note to catch up with his old friend after this debacle maybe even go through that retraining he had been meaning to try. He turned back to the Seneschal and burst into laughter at his suggestions "you seem to have my very ideas in mind, you see i brought these fools here to either prove themselves or die to an Ur-ghul before i kill them myself." He turned to Uravel as she unloaded the cages from a raider and he nodded "i do recall that Ur-ghuls are fantastic trackers if im not wrong , our last mission could've used their skills so i do believe procuring a few alive for our resisdent beast master would be a preferrable solution." He said as Rakesh and Helis marched the recruits out of the raiders , though march was used in a very loose sense. He then turned back to the Seneschal "may i suggest we move the slaves out ? This recruits should do a suitable job with what i have planned " he said feeling his smile strecth a little wider than normal. " I think these Ur-ghul's being here may be more useful existing, help us cull the weak" he then turned to the recruits and began shouting orders "Listen to me now or you shall not leave these hab blocks and your soul shall be sent screaming into the maw of she who thirsts." Now he had their attention he began striding along the lines of the mow shaking recruits. He bashed his elbow into each cage as he passed it " each one of these cages must have a live Ur-ghul beforr i will take you out of this hell hole, if you do not fill them you will die here to the last man." He hopped onto his raider as Rakesh and Helis lifted off the other two raiders as he looked down at them
The Scourge-to-be pulled herself together and back on her feet. "I am Kadara. I serve Archon Zar'uil of the Crimson Moon. I am here to become one of you," she declared, gritting her teeth. The man had a blaster pistol fixed on her. There was little she could do about that. So for now, she simply stood with her arms and legs wide, posture hunched, yellow eyes fixed on the Scourge before her like a cornered beast gauging its options.
Aesra had many options laid before him, hunt down his rival, find Eliria, gather the information he needed. Choices choices choices. He decided it would be best to go and visit Eliria first, the information he received from Kadara was useful, but no one gives anything away for free unless they have something to gain from it. What her gain was was not important, what was important was the level of truth behind her words. Perhaps there was more to it, maybe less. Returning to his lair Aesra noticed the note and missing cages. Ave'ras was lucky that the Khymerae weren't here during his 'visit' if they had been he would have been in for a fight. Throwing the note away Aesra shrugged as he hopped on his skyboard and headed for where Eliria was supposed to be. Information was power, so it was time to gather as much as he could before officially taking over the hellions.
