Ave'ras nodded as he heard the Mandrakes Signal @Draconion

"Understood , best of luck to you friend" he said his voice cheerful almost. He took aim on the nearest Walker to him and the enforcers, he turned to Uravel "Fire on my target Uravel, the rest of you lot use the trees for cover and focus fire down those mechanical footsoldiers" he said bracing his Splinter canon on one of the fallen logs brushing off a bit of snow as he took a moment to aim. The cyborg rider of the walker didnt produce any breath at lesst from what he coukd see, little would be gained from taking captives "these metallic mon'keigh are of no use to us alive, shoot to kill" he said before he fired away sending splinters of mono-molecular crystal through the cold night, the enforcers firing on their targets the sound of shots being fired and flying through the dark being joined by the howl of wind

The same scenario played out all across the ice planet as the Dark Eldar troops descended upon the unsuspecting Mechanicus, reaping a heavy toil with their surprise attack.

Sending out his minions and opening fire, Yrara drew first blood as his shards penetrated tough armor of the Praetorian servitor, the thing starting to leak oil from where dozen of shards injured it. At the same time wracks closed the distance with the skitarii troops, laying down into them with unshackled fury. While Haemonculus' grenade didn't do much as it fell short of the intended target, his wracks reaped a heavy toil and slayed 8 skitarii in total before they managed to organize the defense by pulling backwards towards the machine in order to defend it. They also started returning fire and trying to drive off the Haemonculus' servants however all of their shots either missed or were simply soaked by the wracks who just kept on coming.

The only one who could do some actual damage to them was the Praetorian who sadly had other things to worry about. It activated its twin-linked heavy bolters and started spraying all over Yrara's cover, the sheer number of bolts annihilating the trees and some even impacting close to Yrara, showering him in deadly shrapnel. However the Haemonculus' body started working around the clock and quickly sealed the wounds caused by the servitor, the end result being as if Yrara didn't even suffer a wound.

And then Heltherith struck. Fast like a viper, she descended upon the Praetorian without it even registering the attacker and launched a series of stabs that obliterated its armor and broke one of its tracks, slowing its movement significantly. Praetorian tried to retaliate by using its flamer, however the fire completely missed the Wych as the gout was still too slow to catch the agile Dark Eldar who simply danced around the machine and kept it busy, giving yet another opening for Yrara to exploit if he so desired.

As for the rest of the Mechanicum personnel, all of the three Tech-adepts present ran straight to the big machine and started "locking doors" while leaving the servitors outside. Sadly, the machine was never meant to be used for warfare and despite its size, it was quite harmless and not to mention slow, but despite that they started activating the engines in order to try and make a getaway, 10 km\p being as much as they could pull out of the machine at the moment.

    Enemies:
    - Praetorian servitor (flamer + twin-linked heavy bolter) 3HP (Elite) (crippled)
    - 25 Skitarii (lasguns)
    - 17 regular servitors + 3 Tech-adepts + extraction machine. Tech-adepts are using the machine to escape and will do it in 4 turns if they don't get intercepted.

    Allies:
    Wracks:10HP, Yrara:11HP, Heltherith:11HP

The Incubus glanced about as she took a few lasbolts, wincing under her helmet before her gaze met with the Skitarii. Her hunched posture relaxed and she stood to her full height above him, her feet taking her towards the man with her halberd tightly gripped.
She certainly wouldn't fire first - seeming more interested in fighting in melee, however should the Skitarii shoot she'd do her best to crouch and sidestep before bringing her splinter pistol to bear, charging onwards with the Punisher halberd trailing behind the armoured woman with the toxic splinters screaming through the air, aimed at her opponent.

If she could, she'd try to focus her intentions with coinciding with Kaesar if he was to join her in this fight, attacking at opposing angles - if not, she would fight on her lonesome, her focus for the time being to try and defeat him at least somewhat honourably.
  4. Jumping down from the Raider, Hetax had his eyes on the skitarii alpha, even if not to get it alive, killing it would prove both a challange and a proof of skill.
As he moved closer to the *main* part of their force, he activated the elektro stun enhancement to his hook, even if it was protected, this kind of power should fry some wires in the skitarius elite, as he then let the hook fly in and attempt to cath the alpha.

Kaesar moved after Venessia, covering her blind spots when she focused on the skitarii.
He did want the kill for himself, that foe still had proper sentience in it and could pose some semblance of a challenge for him.
Gritting his teeth he settled on annihilating as many foes as he could from interrupting the duel, helping Ven deal with the skitarii if the situation demanded it.

Kadara kept the pressure on the group of combat servitors, ignoring the Skitarii reinforcements for now, but keeping them in mind as she maintained fire on the Mechanicus forces. Each press of her trigger delivered bursts of cruel, crystalized toxins into the systems of her enemies, and the veteran Kabalite's taciturn ways meant that she wasted little time contemplating the creatures' lack of suffering. Similarly, she was not with much empathy. Whether they suffered or not hardly mattered to her, it did not phase her much one way or the other. But she drew great satisfaction from culling this herd like mindless critters. And she looked forwards to testing her skills against the Skitarii. There was sport in that.

    <Forest Relay> @Draconion @bossaroo

Uravel merely nodded as she took position near Ave'ras, hiding behind a large oak. Leveling their splinter weapons, the Enforcers waited for the mark and once the splinter cannon roared, so did they too add their own fire to the mix. Ave'ras showed his exceptional marksmanship, sending monomolecular shards into the Ironstriders, almost every hit counting. First Ironstrider almost suffered a critical damage as one of its legs was cut off by the heavy fire that also completely crippled the walker as well as making its lascannon worthless while the skitarii riding it fell on the ground, blood mixed with oil fleeing his body as he tried to figure out what was going on (OOC @bossaroo you can take out this Ironstrider with your next post ).

Second Ballistarii also suffered couple of hits however it fared much better than its compatriot, allowing for its rider to turn around and start pouring return fire with its autocannon, however the shots grazed past the Ave'ras and his men, not a single bullet hitting them. Skitarii rangers also consolidated their ranks and tried to fire back, however they were cut down by Thû's men, who took out five rangers with precise pistol fire, leaving Ave'ras' Enforcers "in the dirt" as his men failed to kill anyone, most of their shots either missing or hitting the armored vehicle and doing no damage.

The remaining rangers finally got a lock on the attackers and their galvanic rifles roared, however once again their aim was off as the Dark Eldar raiders jumped away with great agility, never staying in one place for too long and making the job of scoring a hit on them almost impossible once in a situation such as this. Although that didn't phase the Admech forces much as the Skitarii rangers retreated behind the chimera, using it for cover while the Ironstrider started looping backwards in order to try and exit Dark Eldar effective range and flank them from the side.

While all of this was happening, Thû remained hidden within the chimera, watching the Tech-priest suffering some sort of a shock once the attack started. The metal worshiper, obviously female with long brown hair and not really that augmented except for three mechandrites currently inserted into nearby sockets as well as couple of modifications bulging beneath her robes, started switching screens frantically, something akin to emotion surfacing on her face, the sweet smell of fear all too familiar to the Mandrake.

She also obviously tried to send some sort of a signal back using the relay, however it soon became apparent -by the looks on her face - that whoever was supposed to receive that signal was in a similar trouble like her expedition, which didn't do much to help her. So at the moment she just sat there, calculating on what to do next...

    Enemies:
    - Explorator chimera
    - 2 Ironstriders Ballistarii (Elite) 1/4
    - 5 Skitarii rangers

    - Tech-priest (inside chimera)

    Thû:11HP, Ave'ras:11HP, Enforcers: 6HP

As the brunette Tech-Adept scrabbles for answers and solutions in her panic, Thû emerges from the shadows behind her to hover over her shoulder. His oily black mask of a face swirls and coalesces into its accustomed visage, statuesque features cracking in a smile whose predaciousness only seems to enhance its charm.

"Why hello there, my dear," he purrs in perfect Low Gothic, "That looks very interesting, what you're doing there. Mind if I watch?"

Before he even finishes his sentence, he triggers his haywire pistol point-blank into the Adept's spine, triple-tapping the weapon to ensure her augmetics are well and truly down for the count.

"Don't think you can get away that easily mon'keigh we are going to get to you!" Yrara yelled loud enough for his pray to hear him with a devilish grin, Sprinting and springing towards the Drill moving like a falling terran toy named a slinky he aimed his splinter pistol at the praetorian serivtor and firing off several shots in one hand and in the other his power sword he aimed to use to stab into drilling transport the Mechincus was trying to use to get away and to hang on to there transport as they tried to futilely get away from the dark eldar.

"Go my creations slaughter all these servitor and unfeeling creatures and make sure to try to get some of the ones that feel and can think alive for us to tinker with." Yrara yelled as went with his attempt to stab into the transport.

Ave'ras turned to face the poor downed ironstrider rider still shocked and confused at what was going on he fired a shot near it allowing to look at them as blood and oil leaked fron it, another moment later he fired a splinter into the riders neck finishing it off. He then turned to the more pressing situation. The Metal men had retreated behind their vehicle.

Ave'ras took aim on remaining balistarii and opened fire on it "Recruits overwatch the vehicle, Uravel help me down this machine" he said as Splinters careened through the air towards the Moving ironstrider hoping not to let it get away
