<Aesra> @kanila "Hah, I'm not falling for that trick," Aerith grinned viciously, obviously thinking that Aesra is trying to fool him and his comrades into turning their backs on him. They all had their splinter rifles out now while Aerith himself brandished a long curved knife in his gauntlets. "I like your birds little Beastmaster. Actually, it has been a while since we had a proper roasted avian for dinner. What do you say you give us your pets and we'll let you walk away in one piece? I think that's quite a fair deal given the circumstances." <Surion, Ave'ras> @Casavay @bossaroo Alas, on the slates they received there was absolutely no info concerning the forge, or any sort of armory for that matter. However, by the simple glance they could guess that either the place they were looking for is located underground, given the size of the fortress it was impossible that there was no forge here, or what was perhaps even more likely, is that it was located inside the main spire. But entering the spire on their own and uninvited would probably be close to suicide given the fact the place was likely home to their new Archon and by the looks of the guards standing in front of its entrance, moving in unseen was out of the question for them. Then again, perhaps they could try and talk their way inside? <Venessia - Entrance> @Vlayden Seeing the Incubus warrior and her demeanor, Dracon standing at the gates nodded in satisfaction and handed Venessia a holo-slate with the necessary information concerning the inner layout of the fortress and places of interest, but like before on the slates given to other newcomers, this one also contained only the basics. "You may enter the fortress," the Dracon spoke afterward, "Make yourself comfortable. Our Archon will summon all of you shortly."
Without so much as a word Aesra lashed out with his barbed whip attempting to wrap the whip around his knife arm in order to yank it from its socket. At the same time the Razorwings dove towards the splinter rifle wielding kabalites. A grin formed across his face under his mask as the fight began. This wasn't the first time someone underestimated his abilities, and he's sure it wouldn't be the last. He would make an example of these fools so the others would not trifle with him OR his beasts any time soon.
She did so quite simply and... Well. Glanced back. "Define comfortable. I'd feel comfortable knowing I wasn't being toyed with; our services aren't cheap, and while worth every bit of it I'd prefer knowing I'm not wasting my time. Now; what is there to do whilst I wait?"
@bossaroo Rather than admit she was at an absolute loss where to find a workshop, the artisan thought for a moment. Her white face twisted into one of irritation - quite unsightly, too! - as she thought how to cover this embarassment up. She faked a smile and looked up at the warrior. "Actually, my travel was quite long and I would do well with some entertainment. What say you we find this... pleasure bar and investigate that?"
@Casavay Ave'ras raised an eyebrow at the quick changes the bladesmith underwent , from declaring a purpose and destination to full blown irritaion to tired traveller in the span of less than a minute . It didnt take a mastermind to determine the cause he chuckled softly "nice recovery baroness, though that is quite...friendly" he laughed at the baroness' expense before giving her an apologetic smile "i jest i jest , shall i lead the way this time ?"
@bossaroo "You may", replied a narrow-eyed Dark Eldar. "And also may you call me by my name. Flattery is cause for suspicion, and I would rather not suspect yet. I would much rather find out about the pleasures this domain promises. So lead, Ave'ras, lead, not flatter, and save my day."
@Casavay Now a small crack had formed in the warrior's composure and for a split instant his eyes narrowed and flicked with a deep hate and his teeth grit against one another but only for an instant before his face returned itself to normal and the kabalite seemed saddened by the blade smiths distrust "i meant you now cause for suspect or agitation Surion. You made a grand entrance and i merely thought to not belittle the effort but i digress" he appeared downtrodden before contiuing on towards the pleasure bar " may i ask of your travels ba-Surion or do you wish my presence no longer ?" He asked with a cocked eyebrow the demanour of a kicked hound seeping into his voice.
@bossaroo She didn't buy the sadness, but she hadn't noticed the loathing, either. Without the leverage of truth, or the glibness to fake having broken through a presumed ruse, Surion was left with no option but to play along. "Your effort is appreciated, as is your company. One day, you may have the opportunity to show me respect through blooding one of my creations. As for my travels, there is not much edda to me." Like others of her stripe who couldn't afford getting their boots licked by others, the artisan loved basking in her arrogant self-sycophancy - and she showed it, her head held high and a pleased grin on her face. "I was born a misunderstood artist, and broke free of the shackles to pursue my art."
@Casavay As they continued walking he showed genuine interest in the blade smiths story "really ? Might i ask to hear the story ? I must say i am quite curious on how you attracted the archon's attention " the sadness still somewhat present in his voice " id be willing to trade stories in you so wish though unless you wish for stories of raids i may be a bit boring " he chuckled lightly as he continued to the pleasure bar
<Aesra> @kanila OOC alright, I shall use this combat as an example so you know how it would look like in the future Aesra's whip moved with dazzling speed and it connected with Aerith's knife arm in a shower of sparks and pain. Kabalite warrior yelped, him moving his arm away way too slowly to evade the whip's kiss and although he managed to steer clear of getting his arm yanked out of socket, the sudden pain caused by the whip made him drop his knife and turn his arm numb, rendering it useless for the moment. "Oh, you'll pay for that!" he cursed at the same time Razorwings flew towards the rest of the attackers, four birds going for four warriors. They started clawing at their armor and even though they failed to do some significant damage they prevented the Kabalites from firing their splinter rifles at Aesra due to them being too busy with fending off the pesky vultures. Then one of those Razorwings found purchase in one Dark Eldar's shoulder armor and spray of blood escaped it, the warrior in mention dropping on his knees (OOC you can kill this Kabalite Warrior with your next post if you so desire). However Aerith had another trick up his sleeve and with his other good hand, he pulled out a splinter pistol and opened fire, the supersonic crystals grazing Aesra's hip and drawing blood. Pulling a bit back, Aerith took aim for another shot that was this time supposed to blow Beastmaster's head off. Aesra: 9 HP, Razorwing flock:4 HP (Razorwings will act as a separate singular NPC who will do one attack per turn, but due to their nature they'll be able to spread it across multiple targets, just like you wrote there) Enemies: Aerith:4 HP Kabalites: 7 HP <Surion, Ave'ras - Pleasure Bar> + Kaesar @Casavay @bossaroo @Wata Their conversation shortened time it took them to reach the pleasure bar - once inside, they had no trouble finding free table for them to sit at and continue their talk. As for the establishment itself, there was a bar that served free drinks, mostly wine but there were offers of couple of stronger spirits available for gustation. If they were into something even stronger than that, there were couple of nargilas available where they could see other Kabalites enjoying themselves smoking drugs or just simply using them, although those didn't come for free. Behind all of that, they could see more Dark Eldar busying themselves with some bodily pleasures as well as couple of slaves tied to a nearby pole on which some, more eager Kabalites, were exercising their torture skills. There was also one familiar face inside (@Wata ), the Incubus they saw arriving slightly after them at the gates of the Crimson Moon's fortress, who was currently sitting alone and drinking some wine.
