    About a year ago you packed Olipsis chocked full of about as many players the game could handle without crashing. This was a year ago when the game barely ran for some people. What was the purpose of that test, and what would you be looking for if you did another test this year?

    I remember increase player numbers just before launch where it ran smoothly apart from amazon server issues that were said to be quite easily fixed. We were told that we would resume to increased player counts after some more testing. So whats happened to that?

    I remember doing a couple 40v40 matches that were pretty fun, but it did get a bit choppy, and wasn't much better than 30v30.

    If we could get population back up to fill out 30v30 matches again, that'd be enough for me.

    So again the problem is their bad maps :p About time we get some LARGE MAPS PEOPLE, with OPEN SPACES, more than 4 cap points, etc etc.

    Did they run into a problem with Amazon not delivering the promised "gaming servers" but instead delivers "regular servers" or something like that?
    Which is partially the reason for a decent amount of the lag we experience?

    I that is the case, then I can fully understand why they do not wish to increase the amount of players in the maps for now.

    no, this was about different issue. At that time they ran into a problem to hosting 3(4?) game servers on a single amazon, so increasing player count overlapped the server and caused package delays. Which would be solved by hosting 2(3) games on a server and be done with it. Its not like we need more then one server anyway most of the day.

    Saying that 20 v 20 on blackbolt was not fun is just deceiving yourself. This map is meant to be fought in bigger numbers. Its insane that it is only 15 v 15. Torias feels more fun on more players to.

    That might be it, I just read it somewhere in another thread so I might have misunderstood the issue.

    Yep, some maps, like Torias, could really need an increase to 20 v 20 players. Most of the time large parts of Torias is just void of life, save for the occasional player who sticks around a capture point to call out incoming attack :/

    Olipsis seems fine with the current player count, and so does Maggon and Zedek, though that is not to say I wouldn't love to try Zedek with 20 vs 20, even with the clusterfuck it would cause, especially around C.

    Blackbolt seems rather empty most of the time, so a slight increase in player count there might be good, but it might come down to large parts of the maps simply being unused, like the whole left building (where A-Point were previously) and the roofs in general (I kinda miss the old C-Point from time to time).
