This thread is meant to be an easy-to-handle collection of problems and solutions. Please post only ONE thing (will most likely be the biggest problem you have in mind) that needs fixing as soon as possible. If you have another point and it is not brought up for several pages, you can do a second post. And if you have a solution (or more) in mind, feel free to post that, too. And PLEASE no posts other than bringing up a new problem. If you agree on a point, just hit the "like" button. If you disagree, don't. No arguing, no later elaboration (you can always edit your old post, so there should be no need for that) and no complaining about the state of the game (that is being done enough, we want to be as helpful as possible here, ok?). So, for a starter my biggest concern is the use of melee over ranged. Possible solution: Reduce the amount of cover on the maps to create more open space (but don't remove all of it) and make the capture-point-rooms with only one floor more larger or remove cover (example: A on Olipsis can be hell on earth for ranged players). Give ranged players the space they need to do their job. EDIT: I named the thread this way because it will likely turn christmas before any of these problems will be solved. But there is always hope.
Santa Emperor? The hell is this nonsense? THERE IS ONLY ONE SANTA, AND IT IS I, SANTY KLAWZ! My biggest wish is to finally get the RPS system working flawlessly and remove durability loss on picking correct RPS counter. Do this and everything else will fall in place.
Dbash needs to change into a simple parry. The character swings their weapon in a parrying style. For 0.5 seconds the player has immunity to frontal basic attacks. The opponent who hits the parry clangs. That is all. It requires timing and if you pull it off you get just enough time to roll or get in another attack if you have a non-heavy melee weapon. Simplez. As for melee in general.. Remove camera lock. Remove lockon. Remove durability. Remove toughness. Remove Stamina. Remove penetration. Raise TTK slightly so combat at least lasts a little longer. Should be enough to fix it.
Cover btw, is what makes firefights happen in this game. You do not actually want to remove cover. What you want is more space to fight over, and less tight/blind corners because the more distance an assault has to travel to, the weaker he becomes.
Word. To add to this, I think back multiplier should be removed. Attacking someone from behind is awarded enough by a free hit. It's annoying how easy it is to 1 hit kill from behind. At least give an opponent a chance to respond.
Fix/change/redo melee. Please. Sometimes you clang sometimes you dont. Dbashes work 60% of the time, 40% it gets ignored. Rock, Paper, Scissor system sounds nice at first but in reality you end up hitting random buttons and hope you selected the right one. Reading the moves of your opponent is nearly impossible, since many animations dont match the actual attack speed. The system just doenst work and there is nothing wrong with admitting that, it was worth a shot. I never undertstood what's wrong with simply blocking with your weapon. Since there is durability in game, blocking serves as a much better way to negate an attack. Waiting for the right moment to strike while circling each other, playing the mindgame. Stamina for meele needs to come back. Give us more stamina for swings and link the stamina consumed per strike to the weapon tier. That way spamming is no longer possible and with the blocking also consuming stamina it is ensured that there is actual thinking involed and no "infinite" blocking.
Weapon spread- All factions are playing as an elite soldier (except orks, but hey they were created to fight) They should be able to shoot a tighter group than 5 ft at 10 yards.
