Just waiting on more retarded eldar fanboys to post fun stuff...my popcorn bowl is full and waiting !~
Guide on how to be a typical elitist Eldar player: 1. Stalk the forums 2. See Eldar bitch thread 3. Deny any possibility that the race you play might actually be overpowered 4. Say LSM and Orks are unskilled, stupid, window-licking plebes 5. Say Eldar are fine and that everyone else needs to L2P
I don't think any eldar ever said orks need to git gud since orks were so underpowered it wasn't even fun playing 5 minutes against them.Space Marines on the other hand had issues for a single patch and acted as if world war 3 started.Hell even when eldar was first implemented we kept the whinning on our subforums and never made IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH ME YOU NEED A SANITY CHECK )))))) .Also, most eldar players including me have acknowledged eldar OP elements like the wave serpeant deleting tanks, full hp marines getting 1 shotted without the chance to even get revived by SS backstab and embolden instahealing in a radius with 2 charges(which btw almost none has complained about). The rest of what most people call OP I find is purely whining.
The only actual problem with Hawks right now is that their guns got tuned way too far in the opposite direction. Before the last patch you were infinitely better off meleeing people from behind as a Hawk than trying to kill them with lasblasters. Now the lasblasters are far, far too good considering their mobility. The mobility in itself is not a fundamental problem. Hawks should be able to dance circles around people and simply leave if they get in an unwinnable or uneven fight. They shouldn't be able to kill as effectively as a devestator when they manage to find a fair fight.
Problem with characters like that is there jas to be a window of opportunity to catch them. If they can always escape by saving fuel and no one can stop them due to the speed they escape at you only then get those chances if they either A) suck, B) make a mistake, which good players don't do as often, or C) focus so much fire at them that it becomes absurd how much focus a single player draws in a tactical game. It is better to have dmg and speed but a good window of opportunity on the fuel, dmg and fuel but slow enough for.opponents to get to play against it, or fuel and speed but no dmg which would just suck for the eldar so thats out. Atm all tje jetpack units have way too much mobility which allows them to do two things they shouldn't be able to do: apply so much map pressure that they equate to a squad instead of a single guy and make plays they really shouldnt and aren't supposed to be designed for IE clearing out an entire cap room single handedly ( granted part of that is lag and the hell an ultra fast moving character plays on people with even a little bit of latency) As it stands all the jpa have mobility, dmg, and durability when they should only really have two of these at most. I mean why play slugga boy when a stormboy is just better and shootaboys can cap? Why play DA when you only really need one or two on a team and the rest of the player base can float around like wizards in destiny on elite mode? Why bother going tactical when you can just go JPA/Raptor and assert massive map dominance making capping irrelivant? Sure they are fun to play as but they are absolutely horrendous to play against in their current form.
For the most part I agree with your statement except for a few points. I'll state some based on Eldar standpoint as that is what i play the most, the hawks while great at picking off people by aerial ambushes or odd angles. They cannot hold a room on their own nor want to be in a cap point without actual banshees/DAs / Warlocks or other support. They are not a brawler and have no staying power, even when i am top of the scoreboard and have plenty of most ranged kills accomendations. It isn't from straight up 1v1 ing people (unless it is from me initiating and even then i could lose the fight if the other person is a good aim) it is from me picking off lone targets or supporting my team from the backlines, i don't stay in a room unless it is absolutely necessary and i run away from melee cause hawks are not good melee fighters. As for map dominance, i think just like JPA they are perfect first responders like a scout. Sure we can pick some people but if there is any solid enemy team composition we will never go in alone without our own team to come help we are fragile and the only thing keeping us alive is our mobility.
Yes, that's what they do. They are most mobile class in lore, maybe only some Tau smurfs do better/similar. Umm, no. It takes over 1 sec of headshots from 30 meters to kill someone. Its effective ranged weapon, but hardly extremely lethal. "I will jump on random numbers, ignoring numbers that do not suit or support my biased AF case, therefore I will completely ignore it takes 6 grenades to down someone. Six. Did I mention SIX grenades to down someone?" Exactly the same mobility as any other Eldar troop. No, its the jetpack that gives them better mobility then JPAs. Exactly the same hitbox as any other Eldar. If you can't hit stationary one, you might want stop hip firing heavy bolter on the move. Hardly hawk specific thing. Play some overwatch, BF, CoD or any other game that has HUMAN sized opponents, we've been shooting Eldar like targets for decades now, git gud with aim. Melee is not their hardcounter. Ranged focus fire is. In fact, complaining you can melee SH is as silly as complaining that you can't frontally charge braced HB. Yet multiple people wing clipped me on multiple occasions. And if you have hard time seeing them, look for huge, long, blue flare, you'll find a hawk at the end of it. Which is again, hardly Hawk exclusive. All Eldar and MoS can do it because of base non sprint speed and if hawk is hip firing(aka strafing quickly while firing) he isn't going to hit much. I don't know if you've missed it or not, but its exactly what they are supposed to do, being most mobile class in game by lore and design. Plus, you are aware that JPAs are doing it for a year now? Lower durability then Avenger, because you need to make sacrifices to keep yourself mobile. Magical mix of DPS, durability and mobility doesn't exist outside your head. You want to have hawks talon and mobility? You need to drop armor. You want to keep armor? You can't use talon with mods or you need to sacrifice mobility. You want to have consumable and nades, while wearing armor and be mobile? Basic weapon only, sorry. When it moves and is spotted. Now, it would be, if anyone actually gave a shit and looked UP against Eldar, instead of having hawk swoop right behind him, kill and proceeded to hunt next unaware scrub. Also Njord, personal advise, do NOT play shooty class, you have aim skills of 5 year old and EC looks like first shooter you've ever played based on what you've presented on all your vids. You have about 20% hit rate, which is way below acceptable average.
Eldar people flocking in as usual.. Eventually they won't have anyone to play against. I would throw some stat books and fact books at them, but there hit boxes are so small and ego's are so large, i'll never get it to sink into there brains. talk about 2+ armour re-rolling 1s!
Are they even close in size to belief of efficiency of power armor space marine players believe in? Can our egos even compare to SM superiority complex?
Az a dedikated ork playe-nah, I'm just kidding, I'll type this one out like a normal human being. As a player who is more or less dedicated to the current abomination that is the Ork faction (was really hoping this latest patch would fix Ork melee), I would like to throw my personal experience into the mix. Now I am by no means the best player in this game, far from it, but I do have a bit of experience in the shooter genre and the hack and slash genre as well (been playing Quake since '98, Counter-strike since '99). And if you need a IG reference, I've playing with DLB and been doing alright (though Drox still consistently beats me on the scoreboard ). That being said, I'm not a fan of the Swooping Hawk or, more specifically, engaging one in any form of combat. In general the Eldar can be a bit difficult to counter with the Orks, due to low accuracy weapons and buggy melee but the Hawks tend to make things a lot more challenging. On the one hand, engaging them in melee is rather difficult for an Ork due to their low (melee) TTK and abysmal speed. All a Hawk has to do is jet out real quick and that's that. This is made worse by the Hawk's general foot speed (like any Eldar, burns an Ork badly) which allows them to back out of glorious combat with little more then a quick strike and hold of the old "s" key (alright, maybe it's not that easy but you get the idea). Now while it is possible to kill them, doing so requires much more work then it should as the Hawk's not a melee class. I have an easier time killing Banshees (lovingly referred to as the "Eldar's dedicated melee class") in melee. Shooting them is much worse as it requires reliance on the snub nose blunderbusses that are Orkish ranged weaponry. The shoota and big shoota both could theoretically kill a Hawk but their low accuracy means that most of your shots will miss (and don't give me that "I never miss a shot" bullshit, Deadshot). And if you were lucky (or skilled) enough to pop a couple of shots into a Hawk, their fast flight speed can put a building between you and your target very quickly. Now a Dakka Deffgun could kill one but the time it takes to set up and start shooting is years in Hawk-time. The Slab sometimes gets a good shot in (two HSs to kill) but that can also come down to luck as hit registration on moving targets can be a little wonky at times. Also, we don't get Smart Bolt Pistols (the go-to counter against Elders in general) though I honestly hate the fact that these exist in this game, for personal reasons. That being said, now for the disclaimer: This is not laying any hate against anyone, I love everyone here (more or less). I don't think Eldar in general need a nerf, I don't think we need to nerf Chaos to the stone age (though LSM could probably use something, those guys seem to get wrecked for some reason), and I know the Orks don't need a buff so much as a massive game altering bug-fix. Also, don't take this as me saying Orks need an accuracy increase, it fits the lore (and TT) that they can't aim for shit. That being said, I don't think fixing the melee bugs is going to make this problem go away for the Orks. The Swooping Hawk is our perfect counter and I'm not a huge fan of that. No idea on how to fix this either as I'm still trying to figure out how to kill the damn thing. Datz me 'onest opinion on da argumunt. We'z need'z ta be more 'onest wiff each udda if we eva want to get dis game in a gud an' playable state. Dun't argue favoritez, talk from da 'eart. Lez make da forumz a 'appy place an' keep da krumpin' in da game. (Also, sorry about how long this post got. I tend to drone.)
