the thing is i know its not all of the LSM and mostly its the non-clan LSM that are exploiting and being very salty etc... just annoys me that people would purposefully and continuously carry on in my eyes i see exploits as cheating but that is my personal opinion
Personally, i love long chains of swear words and claims of spamming one hit kill weapons. (The rokkit) Because- It's primarily AV, and it's luck if you hit marines with it. And they seem to conveniently forget about the Plasma Cannon which is more Anti-Infantry and waaaaay more accurate. Rokkits are also far more likely to kill orks if used at range, or in tight corners.
They get really mad at the ork players that have perfected the art of rokkit kommando work. Almost like maybe they shouldnt stand still all the time, but nope clearly we are just op and dicks using absurdly easy weps in their eyes.
To be fair, people are comparing the Plasma Cannon and Rokkits. Now, we all know the PC was bullshit, especially with such a short charge, but hopefully that's been fixed (we'll see). But, the rokkit that most of us (me included) dislike, isn't your heavy variant, but the one on your Tac equivalent class. The reason being? (and these are all last I checked figures so, forgive some discrepancies if I mistake something) The PC has to charge to OHK The Rokkit (on the basic shoota) doesn't. The Plasmagun has to charge to NOT OHK The Rokkit (on the basic shoota gain) doesn't The Plasmagun and PC have to charge to stun (if not kill in the PC's case) The Rokkit, doesn't Etc. The reason we are mad at the rokkit is the same reason every other faction hates/hated the Plasma Cannon. You could basically pop out of a corner, or whip around on someone already firing at you, or any of those situations...and just gimp someone who really probably is outplaying you. And yes...we can bring up the accuracy, I get it. I'm not saying it's super accurate. What I am saying though...is that the distance most combat takes place, you don't really need to be that accurate. And, think of the problem we have with melee...that' it's too easy for them to gap close right? Same thing with the rokkit (on the basic shoota), even if you aren't in range....it's very easy to gap close.
Yes, It's a fairly flexible weapon indeed. But you can't snap fire it as you can 3 lobs of plasma. Or single shot with it. It will always be relegated to the 3 second charge-up time before you can release the rokkit then add the 2 seconds on top to reload a new rokkit in. (1.6 reload for the dead shiny version +100LP on top of the normal value of 400.) So, On the optimum build, you can effectively launch a rokkit every 4.something seconds, give or take. But you're really squishy as you're ditching some armor and health to get that bonus. This is our AV build, and it's far inferior to a Fire Dragon, or Tacticals with Meltabomb builds.
Is that the Tactical Shoota equivalent, or is that the "Heavy Weapons" equivalent for Orkz? Also, can someone for the love of god tell me what the Ork class names are again, I keep forgetting the damn things even though I have a char named Babar in there.
The Rokkit Launcha is only available to our "Tactical" Class, the Shoota Boy for 500LP(400 with talents or 500 for the "Dead Shiny" or Master Crafted, as it were.) Lootas, our "Heavy" or Devastator equivalents do not have a Plasma Cannon or Rokkits, they have a "Plasma Deffgun" Which is an automatic fire plasma weapon. It acts like a Heavy Bolter, with plasma fire instead of bullets.
Yes but last I checked don't Lootas have basically a "big rocket" cannon? The Shoota get's like a handheld rocket rifle, the Loota has what looks like a Mortar on his shoulder bazooka style. (I know about the other Deffs)
Ah yes, the Kannon Deffgun. It has it's downsides as well. Like the Rokkit Launcha, it needs time to charge up before firing. Albeit, 2.5 seconds of it. With a reload time of 2 seconds. Currently, there is an on-going bug with it, where you cannot reload with it if you are braced on walls. You have to un-brace reload, brace again. And repeat the process.
