Definitely enjoying the RP'ish atmosphere here. It's quite peculiar as to what I expected. I've been on the DoW2, SM and a few Chapter sites and the RP hasn't been this intensive. Anyway I welcome the change. On the topic of proper Role Playing I whole heartedly welcome the idea. I mean, it shall allow guilds to become closer and not to mention role-playing on the site can help pass the time until release.
This is a good idea, get some bonding in for the groups, get some back stories going, and get people pumped for the release.

Ups, sorry forgot to switch back to gothic from lingua-technis... Jokes aside, I support the idea to create RP sections, as a pen & paper game master about 10 years I have a few campaign in my pocket (time is an other question) that I would like to tell. Also having a RP forum is a great chance to play with those characters that we'll unable to play wih in EC at start - in my case a Tech-Priest which is my other favourite (as you can see above) beside the eldars... and the space marines... and chaos.. and orkz...and the tau... and and... aw shit I forgot that I like everything in 40K. hint
More or less there will be trolls that will screw and try to ruin rp or make fun of it, but i personaly like having it a bit with friends as in game, same on forums..
With the pure patriotism (best word I could think to describe it) that most fans have for their respective factions, FEEL THE WRATH OF KHAINE YOU FILTHY MON-KEIGH, *cough* I mean yeah people like supporting their faction and that would really be a easy entry point for roleplay. We are already seeing light RP on these forums with the simple use of wording and phrases. One of the best things about games that have intense back story and lore is that you know what your fighting and why your fighting it. You know the history and because of that it feels more meaningful. If we were to create not only a lore rich environment but also an environment that encourages active roleplay, even if it's just shouting your factions battle cry as you run at the enemy, within that rich setting we could really enhance the game's experience just as much as any mechanic.
Glad to see there are some people on the forums that are supporting/participating in the RP, well whenever someone makes another thread or just wants to start posting RP in this one I will be there .
