Because this is most definitely inevitable for those that play the Warhammer 40K Pen and Paper version.

Despite never having played much of the Pen&Paper games this is still usefull from a stand-point that it might help the game with a Roleplaying in-put where guilds who wish for it could interact and play out scenarios.

I fully support encouragement of RP for Eternal Crusade. The lore is such a draw and favorite of the fans (as well as the fact that 40k has multiple tabletop roleplays) that I can easily see there being an active RP community.

What better place than a world consumed by war for 40k roleplay to truly feel at home?

The main reason I'm getting this game is for the RP, I'm a huge fan of 40k and I love RP so I've been waiting for an 40k MMO for so long now, had such a nerdgasm when I first learned about Eternal Crusade, This game is gonna be F-ing epic, game of the year no doubt.

So far it seems like the idea has at least some support, but then there is a lot of questions still, such as should enemy factions be able to talk to each others to make scenarios like Hostage situations or perhaps two guilds of different factions works towards a common goal before turning on each others/walking away cautious from.

There are probably a lot more scenarios, but that's just a few of the top of my head i would like to see.

I don't see why the factions shouldn't be able to talk to each other, Chaos and Loayalist forces speak the same language, and in the 40k novels and other 40k games we often see two faction leaders insulting eah other before a battle, I don't see why this should change now,

To be completely honest, I have been floored by the amount of fellow roleplayers and quasi-RP I have encountered since signing up for the forums here. I suppose it was sort of inevitable.

I feel like Eternal Crusade presents enormous opportunities for roleplay, and I would strongly encourage / promote anything that will further empower it. So yes, Roleplay forum, please!

I've been playing the Tabletop and running Dark Heresy, Only War, and black crusade campaigns for nearly 10 years now. I need more outlet for RP and Ideas

I to also agree 100% with RP, and I to have also seen (and participated) in some of the random RP in the forums lol, but it's all good fun. Anyway can't wait to get in game, hoping to be leading a war band of Chaos Space Marines .

An RP forum would be a great addition. A dedicated place for it would absolutely help pass the time till the game launches
