Talk shit, get hit. If he's an avid shooter player as he makes himself out to be, he should know that by now.
Lmao, the salt is fucking real. Poor guess, try again. "Talk shit get hit" oh god lord. You'd get drummed out of PL in less than 5 minutes.
Dudes, seriously. Let Tornadium believe what he wants to. Would suck to see this thread locked down cuz we arent mature enough >.>
Aye. There are blights in every game and communities, it's best to just let them rant on and ignore them as much as one can. So far he hasn't really attacked anyone personally, so don't start attacking HIM personally either. When he (or anyone else does), call in a mod, BUT UNTIL THEN, let's keep the post on topic, yah? When it comes to RP in shooters, yes, it exists. It doesn't need much, just the mentality, attitude and playstyle of a certain faction; Orks being all WAAAAAGH! *bashes heads in like it's no-ones business*, Space Marines showing more discipline in their firelines rather than running/jumping around, Eldar using deception and subterfuge rather than standing still, and so on. Using VOIP to call out rallying cries that suit your faction, (example: standing in the trenches with fellow marines, one leader constantly calling out rallying cries like "NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER! WE FIGHT FOR THE EMPEROR AND HOLY TERRA!" and so on)... "Playing your character", so to speak, isn't too hard. ...as a side-note, I've come accross people who don't like it in certain games, as it sounds fake, posh, and they usually start ranting something along the lines of "Come on, dude, it's just a game. Fuck off."... Separating the two would be somewhat of a good idea, BUT would it create a rift in the community...?
Not only would that depend on the size of the community, but an argument can be made that a rift would be there regardless if you put "Roleplayers" and ..... "Others?" on the same server or not. At least if they had their own servers there would be less irritation on both ends. I realy believe that because this MMO revolves about W40K they should at least consider that there will be alot of older, long time fans of the universe, its stories and miniatures .... that -= Might =- enjoy a RP server. Even if they dont RP themselves, but rather are as i said, older and less into the whole shooter teenage crowd that will no doubt also show up for this game.
A valid point, though, I'm wondering... would one be able to freely hop from server to server, or would a character be locked to a server (like in so many other MMO's)? Would that be an "unnecessary waste of resources that could be invested in other things"?
In my total Subjective opinion, locking characters to a server would make people choose more carefully. A more paranoid part of me would also believe that if you were to freely hop between servers, some guys might get together, go to a RP server and troll people.... But that could just be me being Paranoid though.
