Did a forum search and didn't find anything on the subject. Has there been any discussion concerning roleplay in EC? That is, RP servers, rules, guilds, etc...?
There won't be RP servers, as the idea is to create a single server (pikkoserver). Lots of threads on that if you search for it. As a result, there will be no global RP rules. However, there will still be RP guilds of the light, medium and nerdcore varieties. Couple of threads to get an idea of who the already announced ones are in the recruitment forum or a major one in general chat called "calling all crusaders" (and more I can't remember, but should be searchable). Apologies for not posting direct links, but mobiles and links don't play nicely together.
Proud to be called total nerdcore here. Personally I think if you are not RPing like crazy in EC then you are doing it totally wrong.
40k fans are always in character...seriously shouting "blood for the blood god" is all you need to be a Berzerker or "for the emperor" to be loyalist scum. So even tho a large amount of people wont be truly RPing they will most likely be adding to your personal immersion via these little habits...except for those pricks teabagging corpses...they will be hurting your immersion immensely
Personally I think if you are not trolling the RPers like crazy in EC then you are doing it totally wrong.
Who doesnt want to roleplay as an ORK!?! Greatest part of the game will be seeing green skin role players shouting all kinds of orky quotes all around. Nobs yellin "SMASH EM YA GROTZ", Boyz screaming "BOSS we'ze bein shot up!", everyone screaming "WAAAAAAGH", and of course 40 different people saying "I'ze da biggest ...so I'ze da boss"...then all of em looking at each other in the middle of a battle....and turning on each other, beating each other to a pulp....regardless of what their objective was or who they were initally fighting...or even who gets hurt in the process.
maybe light RP on my part. I don't have the vocabulary of a space marine, and any time role playing would be time better spent purging xenos. i wont knock it though. RP an ork in 40k video game is perfectly acceptable, RP an ork irl........
