Question on our character sheets What info will we need to provide along with what is not allowed? Example what weapons and equipment might not be allowed
Basically nothing isn't really not allowed just be reasonable in the amount and likely hood of having it. If you guys want to PM with specific questions feel free to. I will be judging by lore and background of the characters. so better you can justify the more likely you can have it.
damn, thats the smartest ogryn so far even Nok Dedog is still a moron despite being one of the greatest ogryn geniuses
Hmm well I don't want to play as a complete idiot though so maybe I should just go with option 3 and use my Vostroyan from a while back. See this is why you make contingency plans and I already have a sheet for old Gerborov so I guess third times the charm really
Not as fun as playing a mad dok though unfortunately and I just don't really want to play a character with the mind of a child even if he's 10ft tall and can take a tank shell to the face or rip a man in half with his bear hands. So as tempting as it would be I'm just not sure at the moment hell maybe I could do something completely different I haven't quite thought of yet after all I have time to think.
Name: Abel 'One-Arm' Murith Class: ex-Imperial Guardsmen - Tanith First and Only Regiment - Scout/sniper. Rank: Corporal (prior to discharge, but still wears it) Age: 47 Height: 1.7 meters Weight: 75 kilograms Appearance: Dark brown hair that is short in length and combed over to the right. Slim face to match his slimmer body. Green eyes that seem a little sunken due to lack of sleep. Crooked nose due to being broke some time ago. Seems to have an eerie smile on his face almost constantly. Has a beard that would make him seem like he lived in the wilds. His right arm is completely bionic, of the more simple designs. Scars/Tattoos: The top half of his right ear is missing, which leads to a very straight scar that moves at an angle through his cheek and lips, stopping just under his chin. Tanith First and Only Regiment tattoo (Verghastites version) that would seem to have been burned over with a hot blade. Uniform: Dark green Tanith First and Only uniform with a Camo-cloak. Equipment: Long-las with an adjustable 30x scope, flash suppressor, and bipod legs. The weapon itself has been wrapped up in a dark green grip tape. On his left hip is a Mark IV 'Dervish' laspistol. On the right side of his belt hangs a toothed-bayonet. His flak armor is cut up to only cover the upper part or his chest and back to remain lightweight. Homeworld: Verghast - Vervunhive. Background: Prior to joining the Tanith First and Only Regiment very little is known about Abel other than his homeworld of Verghast, within Vervunhive. However, from his start within the ranks of the regiment, it became very appearent that his cold-blooded nature and iron resolve would work well with the Regiment's style of battle. His first assignment saw him within the Tenth platoon. Within that platoon he found a home amongst other Verghastites, which aloud him to form tighter bonds then he was used to. The time quickly came for his first mission, which was suppose to be of the simpiler variety. The platoon was to conduct a simple recon of a new planet that was, at that point, unnamed. The environment was a dense and humid jungle with vast amounts of interconnecting rivers. The platoon was sent out with the simple orders of 'get a good view and feel for the place'. However, this task became much harder than initially thought when a large, primatitve Ork population was discovered in the first day of the partol. Things only got worse when the platoon sergeants leg was mangled and caught in a hidden ork trap. While most of the platoon wished to save the sergeant, it was Abel who recommended a quick death as it would only be a matter of time before the orks checked their traps and got their scent. This suggestion caused an argument which was ended when Abel ended the sergeants life with a laspistol to the head. With the matter settled and the tension towards himself from the others rising, he urged the others to move back towards the pick up sight. However, as their long movement began, Abel's mind began to wander and think about what would become of him if the Regiment found out he had killed the senior non-commissioned officer. So as they moved he decided what had to be done. He broke off from the platoon by gradually falling further and further back in the formation under the pretext of exhaustion. Finally, with the help of their hatred for him and his actions, they left him behind. With his plan in place he double times back towards the Ork population. Once he had a hunting party sighted, he fired his longlas at the Ork party, killing on of its members and drawing them in upon him. Once they chaced he quickly lead them right back to his platoon. The platoon was confused when they saw Abel run right through their formation and past them, until the hunting party came charging through slaughter all but one of its members. With the Orks occupied Abel watched to ensure the deed was done, but noticed one member of the platoon had escaped and was quickly heading towards the pick up sight. Abel quickly pursued her and tackled her to the ground just inside of the woodline that gave way to the clearing that was the pickup sight. With the sound of the transport approaching, the two wrestled for a few moments before the girl pulled out her bayonet and cut Abel's ear and face, before driving the bayonet deep into his shoulder socket. Abel then wrestled the knife away and began to choke her with his left arm, until her breathing stopped. He then pushed her motionless body off of himself and made his way to the transport vehicle. When the debriefing was done, he told a story of how the Orks set upon his platoon like wolves and that he tried to save as many as he could, but failed and could only save himself. Due to his story of 'bravery' and resourcefulness, he was promoted to Corporal, given a biopic arm, and reassigned to Fourth Platoon where he was trained as an elite scout within the regiment. His time with the Four Platoon was full of learning and rewards as he quickly became known for his abilities as a scout and sniper. However, that was quickly brought to an end when he was brought face to face with a surviving member of his old platoon who had somehow survived and escaped to tell the true deeds of Abel. Due to the new information, Abel was senstenced to death for multiple counts of premeditated murder. During his transport to have his sentenced carried out, he was able to free his bionic arm and killed the four guards overseeing his transportation. He then hijacked the transport ship and made haste into hiding where he was branded a traitor by the Imperium which also had a bounty places on his head. Most likely due to his past, Abel can often be found smoking a lho-stick.
Very neat job you did there @matt23 And thinking about what we have going on here. I might be interested in playing a former, older Sanguine Templar Scribe (a serf in the libraries) who perhaps was taken prisoner by pirates, ork freebooters or so and eventually sold off back to humans where he picked up some useful skills additional to the ones he already had. Basic Combat, relatively knowledgeable in matters (especially Astartes), first-aid (no surgeries), probably can speak low-gothic, read high-gothic and can at least recognize to which alien civilization certain things belong (from having them studied in the libraries) So I am thinking of a guy in his early-mid 50s who came around the galaxy a bit. His rejection from becoming an Astartes I would think is that the Larraman's Organ (step 5) was rejected. Which means he would probably have some features from Steps 1 to 4 which would mean: - Secondary Heart - Ossmodula (Stronger and bigger bones) - Biscopea (Muscle growth) - Haemastamen (Super bright red blood, more oxygen in blood, monitors & controls also the Ossmodula and Biscopea) Opinion guys?
Sounds like a fun character who could add a very interesting thing to the chemistry of the team , since he's almost a space marine or close to being one
I wouldn't say really close. Given he only managed 4 out of what? 16? steps ^^ A lot of important things missing (no acid spit ) so he is just a tad better than a regular human and not totally superior. Probably on Krieg / Vostroyan level physically (but not skill-wise) since you know: Balance
