Do what you want tuska , im thinking now and maybe i might go wyrdvane because i kind of want to go with a young pysker and both primaris and most astropaths are middle aged or older. So a young wyrdvane pysker it is.
I have always been interested in Rogue Trader, just never had a chance to join in. So I have to say I am interested to experience this RP. Perhaps an ex-guardsmen scout of the Tanith First and Only.
Mad dok it is then! Prepare for an insane and incredibly creepy ork obsessed with surgery and causing pain and excessive amounts of twitching and laughter whist committing the deed! Oh I'm going to have some fun with this one! Also I'm probably going to change his surname to fit his occupation.
I personally would suggest to stay away from a Dok.... Reason being that really nobody ever wants surgery and for authentically playing him, you gonna turn everyone into worse results than a Haemonculus 'Healer', lol. (At least expect things like that my dude to tell you ) Either way, I am fine with whatever you lot play. I just have that what should I call it... Intuition? That a too rainbow crew might be more counter-productive than anything else since the usual things happen of insulting the orks, orks all the time brawling everyone or doing the crazy crap they do, nobody really controlling them, etc. And not to forget if there are formal meetings that the Orks have to stay out or are elsewhere. Or of course the entire crew will suffer from "You got orks with you, you are no real loyalists." IMO I would love that stuff like that wouldn't matter, just not sure if the rest agrees. Because like I mentioned. Lore bending and/or breaking would be neat in order to facilitate more fun (without getting too ridiculous). In the end a lot depends on execution. There are those Orks that even trade with humans on a regular base after all. So as long as your chars are a bit more sophisticated than the average ork we might be just fine
Of course he'll be a bit more sophisticated than your average ork dok! Granted he'll still be very insane especially by ork standards since hes hanging around umies and not krumping them or taking the ship over through shear orkieness. Maybe he could be more of a torturer than the ship's actual doctor since while he can stitch up wounds and sow limbs back on hes still quite unhinged and might loose control of himself. He'd also be willing to play cards in his free time and not eat/kill/dismember/brutalize/disembowel etc. anyone that insults him and give them a rather horrifying look that says far more than your average threat can. So yeah Urkrag Madeyez could be as useful as any completely insane and terrifying 8ft tall sentient mushroom could be.
Also could work to intimidate a tribal leader if things start to deteriorate just bring in him and make them all shit themselves
The mad dok would do an excellent job of terrifying a tribal cheiftan ! Im just trying to find a role for my pysker other than auto casting magic missile
Telepath? Perhaps be overall knowledgable. Take inspiration from Varro Tigurius. He is more than just pew pew kill kill. He is very wise, as well. Kind of the typical Wizard from regular RPGs
