I get the feeling the developers are paying attention to what we are pointing out; I think their thinking on it. Pretty sure they might respond when they give it serious thought.
Funny thing, for myself if they keep the RT as they are, I'm never going to drop 25 bucks for an unlock. However if they are 5, 10 bucks max then I'd drop some cash from time to time when I see something I really like.
Yeah, if the items are 5-10$ US I will buy a bunch of them. Well more than 35$ US worth, but one item for that much...I just can't bring myself to do it. I think they would improve their sales # by offering more variety, (and I know that's coming) at a lower price point. What we may be seeing is the first, rarest items and so the high price point. I guess we'll have to wait and find out.
Well Miguel said a little while ago that they are "collecting more data" when there was the initial kick up of stick about pricing, but he subsequently went on holidays so lets hope he didn't loose too many brain cells and remembers about the price adjustments, failing that this poll thread with 209 votes and 145 posts (146 now) should no doubt jog his memory.
Lol i just realized the "Ends soon" mark on all the Heresy weapons, i thought the offer that ends on the July 18th were the Xenos and Heresy packs and that the weapons will remain as is till they sell to the last. But i seems they will probably be gone tomorrow as well. Though i think a single look of just how much of them remained in stock before the ending of their existence is proof enough as to how the prices are unaccepted by the community. Since the max number was 2500 for each of them we still got: -2111 Phobos Bolters -2334 Umbra Bolters -2424 Looted Bolters -2368 Asyrian Furies I dont even know if these also took into account the actual purchasers of the Heresy pack, id assume they did cause they still count in the max number of allowed items. Suffice to say their sale went poorly. We still cant weigh the effect of the RT gear (if we ever will) but id assume those prices werent accepted all that well either, going off by this poll and the multiple threads similar to this one.
Mind you that's still an easy 30 grand in American dollarydoos. Still very little compared to how many they could have sold.
What i also must admit to "pissing me off", even if i didnt partake in the Heresy weapons, is how they didnt even update those descriptions. It was due on Friday, and the Friday in question was some time ago. 1-Lack of DETAILS in general but most importantly in the Items descriptions. We know. Our bad, Sorry :-( and we are adding them every day. By Friday next week most of them will have been updated. Still waiting on those promised descriptions. This is just a ridiculous oversight for heavens sake. Things like these are exactly the stuff that gives everyone who is calling this Founders program a sham ammo to use against it. To a random passer by, seeing what transpired here gives him enough to go on to make a very bad opinion of the whole program.
I have been eyeing the heresy pack and weapons for a while, the steep price and lack of description is keeping me away from them. I don't mind spending my disposable income on virtual items since I consider it a hobby, I mean I have probably spent 500€ on DoTA 2 in the last 2 years (probably more I just don't want to face reality). 35$ is just too much, make it 10$ and slap on a proper description and I will get it.
