When a user is flaming and using profanity, they are breaking the rules. If you are knowingly disrespecting the rules this website has then why in tern should I feel obligated to "edit" a profanity laced message so you can convey whatever message you were wanting to convey. Give respect and you will receive it, If that is to inconceivably hard or inconvenient for a user to accomplish then i'll just delete the post. The only time I will use the edit button is when a crusader may have used some colorful language excessively but it has not been directed at another crusader or anyone who opposes a certain view they have on an opinion. So if we all act like adults everyone wins
Hmm, the enter button to make space between paragraphs seemingly wont allow me to do it in my last post, Apologies for the wall of text
Yes yes, I crossed the line with my responses, but I took offense to his attitude not his opinion. I found it condescending and obnoxious. I should have been the better man, but I'm not and get rude when offended. I recognize it was your duty as a mod to delete it however.
agreed, we're still so far from release and EC is already becoming an easy target for negative publicity, we want people to be salivating about a great upcoming game release, not frothing at the mouth about cash grabbing
I think the pricing one everything in the RT is 4-5x to high. People should be able to get items for that are not just factor of 1000s. (ie items for 1,250RTP) 5k RTP should be able to get you more than just 1 of the cheapest items in the market. and the 40k you get for the "basic" founders pack should go a lot further than it does. I have no problems spending money for a game I like to see succeed. I have gotten a lot of CE/founders packages and these are right up there with the worst prices of them. It was stated that they did research on other AAA "cash shops" but it seems that they didn't read how much that those prices were always considered too high by the people playing the game. I do plan on getting the $120 set, but it should have been closer what the $450 set is. And I would get the $450 set if it included a lifetime "subscription" in addition to what it has. Just my opinion.
I personally believe that $35US (35 000 points) is too much for the Heresy weapons, if it was a skin or a vehicle, I wouldn't have an issue; the reason I don't have issues for the prices of say ships in Star Citizen for example is because I am aware of how much money it costs to develop those ships and it's a lot; Because they had to build the "entire" ship, both inside and out in extreme detail and have high detail textures for each individual component. While these things are just "guns" Having a time limit on them I feel is enough to restrict how many people get them, considering we only represent about 10% of the eventual playerbase anyway. Because out of the 10 friends I have who I know will be getting EC, I'm the only one who is on the forums; so by that logic I assume statistically only 1 in every 10 fans is currently active on the forums or has a forum account. So by that logic, at launch there will be around 200 000+ active accounts (at this stage of public knowledge of the game, fan numbers of the Warhammer 40 000 who are interested in an MMO and fans of Warhammer 40 000 who are currently aware of EC). So the 5% will happen regardless of the price, considering there is only a couple of days left anyway. I don't know if the price on founders "Heroes" is justified or not. It's hard to tell until we actually know more details on them. I believe the price of the vehicles and the armour/skins is acceptable, it's the same price as such vehicles/skins in every other MMO or even Free to Play games. For example, I have no objection of paying 1000 to 2000 points for a hat. People would only ever protest that they feel something is a rip if they feel the digital value of that item isn't reflective of it's apparent value in game to yourself and to others around you in playtime and in visual enjoyment. A good idea of how one gages this would be to look at the pricing system of skins in LoL or the pricing system of mounts in WoW and other MMOs; You will also see too in those game where and when people feel the price of something is ridiculous and will actively announce their discontent. Since you guys have a referral program; I believe implementing a system which allows players to contribute to the development of the game in other ways other than giving money to the developers, such as the referral program is fantastic, but I feel that the system would benefit from including items which they can realistically achieve for free with their referral points would greatly boost the value of the game to the game community; on top of other ways people could contribute. Not all fans can afford to pay money for cool stuff they want; Even I "realistically" can't, but I decided to anyway because this is the game I always wanted so of course I decided to. I of course am not saying any of this because I may be "cheap" or stingy, none of the sort; I think it's just purely good business practice. I bought the $250 one (which ended up costing me $274.91 because Paypal auto-included Australian GST Tax, which means if I decided to downgrade, I would be out of pocket still $24.91, because I'm not sure if you guys could refund that or not, most likely not and it's not really your fault anyway); However, because I want to support the game I've now decided against my better judgement I will retain the package until I believe I should downgrade or not, I'm not sure... but I haven't assigned any of the "heresy" items to my character(s), so far I only have the one character and I assigned the banner to it. I'm not stingy or cheap, I just worry that I might of got caught up in my excitement; I kind of see it this way, I paid now, pretty much for the game and for the first year worth of cash shop stuff I plan to buy, but then again there is that $90 spent for $140 worth if heresy "guns" to which I not sure if I wanted to get them all or not, to be honest now when I look back not sure if I wanted to get any of them; That's a bit silly <_<. As far as the packages costs; I feel they are perfectly fine. Other developers who are "on the level" have the same pricing ranges and they are no where near as transparent yet care just as much as you guys do about your fans/customers. Still... what we are getting is still better than what people are getting in other games for the same price range, item wise. But no one seems to complain about it for those game because values were not applied to those items. Which is interesting when you think about it...
we still dont know if the armor in the RT are skins or sidegrades, of if they are complete armor sets or just single pieces, judging from the LSM chest and shoulder guard being seperate we might assume they are single pieces, in which case to customise an entire power armour might take 6 pieces or more,
