@Uriel1339 @matt23 @Maleth @TuskaDaemonKilla @Keidivh The sound of steps came through the hall as a small group of serfs and a few sercvitors came through the room during this job a oungst the small crowd of serfs appeared a robed figure of green and orange carrying what looked to be a a bowl of hot noodles with various pieces of sliced fish in the bowl. The figure with their hair some in a bun carried there food almost looking like a late crewmen heading towards there station in a rush. As they entered CIC they looked around to the team noticing there mutant screaming along with there Spryer a slight twitch of movement came from there hand only the more augmented or observing of the crew would notice, as It noticed Marcus movement towards his blade till the intervention from the captain now stopping only to there belt for a pair of utensils for there food. "Good day fellow coworkers and teamates seems like another good day in the great imperium," The voice from the figure came sounding upbeat and bright compared to most figures in the room. who met the figure now would know it was Vex a contractor hired from a hive some time ago. Taking a seat he looked over to Lando "Good to see you again lando checking up on us more closely today?" Vex asked seeing there Astarte in thee light once again before turning to there skitarri in the corner. "Hello again Ms. Theta, Why don't you join us at the table might be a better place to maintain your weapons." Vex suggested cross a leg as it ate, before looking to Marcus and Tyesha having " both of you seem a bit more wound up today are you both having nightmares?" Vex asked looking to them before looking to Abel. "Good to see you sir Abel still smoking those Litho-sticks I see, ever try a cigar?" Vex asked looking to spark conversation
"That is why I stay ... Invisible. For you cannot shoot, what you cannot see. And we both know that I only need three steps from here, to you, to allow my Lightning Claw to rip into your skull and rip your head off your shoulders." Landon said unimpressed, letting Abel enjoy himself... For now. "And you are still talking to voices in your head. Once you lose control, you know what awaits you." He flashed his Lightning Claw, letting it spark for a moment. His dark, pitch-black eyes piercing those of Tyesha as if he was to devour her soul. "If I was fighting, there would be corpses. I merely humor the mortals, for their lives are brief seconds compared to my, as well as your lifespan. Almost like a mere breath intake, and hush - they are gone. Just another memory that once was, and now is gone, without much purpose nor impact on the greater gears of the galaxy's ever turning spirals." "Like I said before.... You only see me, when I want you to see me. And it is merely respect, for whatever our next task may be. So sit down and be quiet, we are here for a briefing not to chit-chat." Landon sighed annoyed at Vex' overly talkative personality. If it was just as quiet off the mission as on the mission when going for assassinations and infiltrations.
Marcus nodded to his employer and released the grip of his sword somewhat begrudgingly. Though it was more of a defensive manner than anything else he then just leaned back in his chair and sighed loudly. So the mad woman was back in his life, however long it may be it didn't change much just another thing on this ship that could kill him. He then heard the Landon speak. "And people say I'm a downer." he mumbled to himself as he directed his attention back to the holo display. Trying his best to appear calm and not acknowledging Tyesha or even looking in her general direction.
"Oh heavens, look at the time. We can't be too fashionable late, can we Jeeves?" Amadeus 'Rose' Veldt, an Officer, a Baron, a Trophy Hunter, a Benefactor and a Gentleman extraordinaire, holds his golden pocket watch on his hand inquiring. He empties his dark ivory pipe's chamber on a crystal bowl handed out to him by the butler standing next to his smoking chair and tucks the fine piece of art of a pipe into inside pocket of his smoking jacket. Pushing himself up from the comfy armchair, Amadeus wipes small tobacco leaf off his dark green front. Running his fingers through his beard, he gives his appearances a quick glance from the full-sized mirror fitted into stuffed trophy of roaring dire frost-ursa. Ah, yes, what a majestic animal it was when he encountered it on the icy death world of Findan. Veldt's immersion to reminiscence is interrupted by his butler coughing very politely, in a way that takes decades of experience and discretion. Amadeus cheers as he picks up the class offered him on a silver tray, raising it up before downing it at one go. Doctors orders, a glass of sherry on the hour for medical reasons. "Jolly good evening, all." Amadeus Veldt exclaims as he enters the room. Wearing the dark green smoking jacket, tweed trousers and brown leather boots as always, followed by the butler in his wake.
@TuskatheDaemonKilla @TechCaptain Tyesha purple orbs shone beneath her blue hood, digging into the mutant Wanderer before her. How many years has it been since the fight? Sincehe abandoned them their family? Abandon her? She had lost count by now. And now The Wanderer, self proclaimed king of the Wastes and selfish grox-sucker was back in her life. A devlish smile formed on her lips as she pulled out a mono-edge dagger from somewhere beneath her dress, letting it dance in her fingers a moment as she started to approach Skyruss. Xander put a quick end to their reunion however with his odd little wire toy. She'd have to see if her suit could to that. "Why of course Lord Xander, wouldn't want to inconvenience you in any way." She curtsied ever so slightly as she said this, her white hair tumbling out from her hood, with only the smallest hint of sarcasm in her voice. However she still walked over to Skyruss, standing just close enough to make him twitch. "Did you miss me Wanderer?" Her voice flowed from her lips, both lyrical and venomous at the same time. @Uriel1339 She gave an innocent chuckle at Landon's comment, a disturbing grin forming on her face. "Oh my dear, pray that doesn't happen. There are some things even you should look to avoid." Her shimmering eyes stared right back into the abyss that were his, unflinching. She knew the Astartes could kill her, but for now he wouldn't, and showing fear would only weaken her position within the Rogue Traders circle. She may have been unstable, but she knew how to manipulate and conceal. @Maleth @Vulpas @GoreWrencha As this was going on more of the crew had entered. One brought a reflexive grimace to her face. A Skitarii. Her old gang had to deal with their like more often then she had cared for. They were heartless creatures, soulless killers who would trample any in their path under their bionic foot. She had lost to many good men to them. "Cog freak." Could be faintly heard, muttered under her breath. On a brighter not Vex had entered along with other serfs. A chipper sort, that had brought a smile to Tyesha's face on occasion. "Good morning dear Vex, I suppose nightmares is one word for what I deal with." And finally there was the Trophy Hunter that had joined their little group. Veldt was it? Yes, Rose Veldt. A true gentleman that one was. When she was younger she may have been infatuated with such a man. Younger and sane. Now however such feelings seemed quite foreign to her. She did like the butler that followed him. "Evening sir Veldt. And his Jeeves! You're looking splendid as always!" Her mood shifted quickly as a bright smile replaced the more dangerous grin she had on her face before. "So, what're we blowing up today?"
@Keidivh As best as he tried Marcus couldn't ignore her when she stood so uncomfortably close "About as much as you missed me one armed witch." Marcus said coldly using his old nick name for her as an insult. He glared at her so she could get a good view of his right eye and went back to studying the holo display. He did wonder what had happened for her to leave Taranis and why her hair was such a different shade but clearly neither of them was going to be having a polite conversation without her trying to kill him. Besides it would probably just be her blaming him for everything that's happened mixed in with a bit of the truth. @GoreWrencha Marcus paid no mind to the hunter and his manservant, just some stuck up noble that's taken a liking to shooting big game. The embodiment of everything he hated in his youth but now he was older and quite frankly on way too many pain meds mixed with an irresponsible amount of cheap booze to give a frak about something like that anymore. @Vulpas To the sniper on the other hand Marcus simply flashed a rather rude hand gesture his direction. They should know full well that he suffered from night terrors and poking fun at him because of that definitely deserved the hand gesture.
@TuskatheDaemonKilla Between her storm of emotions and crumbling psyche, Tyesha couldn't say how she felt about seeing Skyruss again. Did she want to hug him, or carve him to pieces with her mono-dagger? Shout for joy, or burst into tears? Eventually she decided to snarky and mean would have to do. Skyruss had hurt her, hurt their family. She couldn't forget that. Wouldn't. Eventually they would have to talk. Why did he leave the Hand, and what brought him so far into the stars? These questions wouldn't have an answer anytime soon, so biting remarks and annoying comments towards him would have to do for now. "Ooh Skyruss, always such a sweet talker. And handsome as ever I might add. Love the eye, quite fetching. You change your look for little old me? You shouldn't have." While her tone seemed friendly enough, it had a vicious bite beneath the surface. This was going to be a long meeting.
As the diurnal ship cycle shifted from early morning to the early afternoon a bulky yet gaunt figure stepped out from the shadows of the engineering strata. Followed by incessant drone that always seemed to be in the faint background when the figure is around, bulky figure stepped into the elevator heading for the pre-designated meeting place. On its way there it paid close attention to those walking past him, their faces clad in suspicion when they would look his way and unease present in the furrowed brows. They feared him.Men feared things they do not know. As the elevator clagged to a halt powered on massive, oiled cogs, Magos-Errant Lomax stepped out, followed by his skull probe. His Omnissian axe more fit for a lowly Enginseer then a Techpriest of his rank and status, lay dormant in his hands, and he seemed to shift all of his considerable weight on it as he walked - as if using it as a walking cane.To his posture of brutal simplicity added a massive servo-arm that hung above his head locked there with a host of mechanic tentacles. As the pneumatic doors hissed open with compressed gas, Techpriest stepped forward finding that everyone was already there.Checking his internal chronometer he concurred that he was thirty three point five seconds late then what it was agreed upon.In the darkness of his hood his tri-ocular implants rotated slightly as he observed everyone present all the while calculating his trajectory from the Cartaker`s strata to here, in a effort to root out the cause of his delay. He deduced it was the fractal mis-aligment in the propulsion system of the elevator that reduced its climbing speed. He would have to rectify this later or find the person responsible. This starship was a fine beast...but it was nothing compared to the Mechanicum ships. "Greetings!"he wheezed, giving away a half-dead sound as if his throat was torn out.
@Keidivh Marcus didn't have a retort he just gave the woman a stare that pretty much said "Frak off and leave me alone or I'm going to strangle you." With absolutely no hint of playfulness or insincerity he was dead serious. While he was used to people giving him strange look for his mutations somehow the woman's words just angered him. He hands on the table formed into tight fists and he managed to get a headache. His head pulsed with a dull pain that no doubt would be unbearable without the pain meds. Because of the sudden pain he hadn't noticed the newly arrived mechanicus member of some rank he didn't care enough about to learn. 'I should start carrying a flask' He thought to himself as he went back to looking at the holo display determined to ignore the woman that still stood uncomfortably close to him.
Landon just shook his head at all the friendliness. That forsaken spoiled Baron-brat, at least he was still good with the rifle, making somewhat up for his annoying personality. And even the techpriest seemed optimistic. At least he knew the truth of the Heresy, unlike those other civilians. Perhaps that is why he was the most tolerable? Always logical, based on facts and having a certain lack of emotion. Then again, that is perhaps why Landon didn't care about him.... There would be no joy in torturing an almost soulless creature. @TuskatheDaemonKilla & @Keidivh & @TechCaptain But some things were going to far and he felt like intervening, for Xander's sake. The Astartes walked over to Marcus and Tyesha, placing each of his hand right in front of their faces, Lightning Claws sparking with excitement. "Don't tempt me, you two. Sit down and shut up, you can bicker like this outside of a meeting with Rogue Trader Xander." Children. Always trying to annoy or stress one another. If they at least would get on with it and have a proper combat about it.
