Rites of Fire is ridiculous

I don't mind the weapon being strong. I think it is cool that the class is a front line support. The issue I have with it is when I win RPS and feel like the rites of fire go "jk I was rock not paper!" Seriously. Remove the DoT on anything that is not an actual hit. Parry is not a hit, and don't apply on light attacks that get Dbash countered. So many space wolves I have Dbashed just to have my character die while they are stunned because the dot applied.

I think I was in that game with you. It was nightmarish.

This has to be a bug or latency issue. When I've tested RoF it absolutely does not proc unless I land an actual hit.

You want one class to excel in two separate roles. Does that sound balanced for one class?

I would personally hardly say that the WP or Apoth excel at all in the field of supporting. I would say they can get the job done and have the ability to support, but excel is def. not a word I would use describing them.

Mediocre support, strong melee (RoF) is what I get from the WP now. When RoF gets nerfed it will be mediocre support and melee.

Might I also add that WP is FORCED into melee situations. With no range options outside of pistols, and having to run into the fights in order to heal/revive it only makes sense that he should be capable of handling himself in melee. WP are regarded as fierce melee warriors why would they not translate that way into the game, while every other class fits their roles?

Better then facing 4 Swooping Hawks with Hunter's Mark as well. :\ All the super weapons are ridiculously broken....not sure how any of them made it in so amazingly OP.

Because people don't like it when they lose. Wolf Priests are NOT invincible, but they do a LOT of damage when they get close. Rites of Fire just makes it worse.

At least THEY have to get close, unlike Havocs with that abomination of an autocannon.

Being able to yolo around one-shotting anything short of a tanked up Ork or maybe a MoN CSM with fast attacks is not 'strong'. It is 'fucking stupid'.

It doesn't kill with one fast attack unless the person is already damaged or something else is going on. Maybe there's a damage mod that's doing this?

It may well be that it only one-shots on fast attacks if you've put the +damage modification on it. That's pretty irrelevant since, y'know. You'd be insane not to put the +damage modification on it, being as it lets you one-shot on fast attacks.

What does definitely happen is that people are regularly one-shotted from full health by RoF fast attacks. One Wolf-Priest derp-spamming RMB shouldn't be more of a threat to a capture squad than four of his teammates playing well and tactically - and yet he is. Repeatedly.
