There is way to many melee weapons at the moment which can 2 hit, and in this case 1 hit. Top tier such as the claw, fist, etc should be how they are, 2 hits quick attacking but they are very slow at swinging. But being able to make a chainsword a 2 hit weapon is silly with the heavy attack. The Orks and eldar especially having super fast heavy attacks. By the time a claw using heavy attacks charges it up, a ork/eldar can do 4 of them. killing 2 people in the time it takes for a claw to do one (hypothetical). They either need to slow things down or reduce damage, but alsoooo make the heavy counter-able!!!! Some real issues at the moment, not just one faction, but across the board. The Weapon mods have made this issue. Devs should have reduce damage on lower-mid tier weapons, which then allows the Mods to bring them up to what they would be with basic stats, but maybe with just a tiny bit more damage.
I know I'm a bit oldschool here but on topic: The rites of fire Crozius Arcanum fells a bit op - that's coming from a wolf priest... but it's a melee weapon and the wolf priest is a hybrid of the Chaplain and Apothecary, and he is a fucking space wolf... viking attack/assault/tearing things apart and shit... I honestly never noticed that the rites of fire Crozius Arcanum would take down an enemy with only one light attack... I need at least two... loadout wise I'm pretty much a glass melee... and the Crozius Arcanum is a power maul game mechanic wise... maybe tune down the DoT... but tbh the Painboy/Apo also have DoTs on their melee weapons and they will kill you with two light attacks as well... and some ranged weapons even have DoT - what, in my opinion, is far worse...
I didn't meant the Stream of Corruption. If I'm not mistaken there's for example an AC which does the same DoT damage as the RoF Crozius Arcanum (Burn Damage) and there are the poison bullets from the Painboy(?). The DoT on the AC is like putting a small motorised hammer on a larger one but you can throw that hammer 10 km far... if you are not dying from the large hammer's impact the small hammer will punch you to death...
I dueled a Wolf Priest with one and he pretty much killed me in a single frontal hit. The first time it happened I thought it was lag, or that I had been outplayed somehow. The second, third and fourth time it happened, not so much. Something is definitively wrong with this weapon. Not being a Space Wolf, I can't comment on it from the other side. But being on the receiving end certainly feels like it's either Overpowered or I'm missing something. How much LP does it cost? Hopefully it costs as much as a Master Crafted Power fist, because it certainly feels like one.
