As of recently, my father, a retired 30 year Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Army, patron fan of Warhammer since the dawn of the genre, and avid master of The Ultramarines has sadly passed at 48 from a mutated Mesothelioma. He had completed the TT armies for The Ultramarines, and for The Steel Legion out of his dedication, and always thought of Warhammer with beauty, even if the genre didn't live up to itself. He owned every game, both Electronic and Physical, as well as every cosmetic and content DLC. If banners are implemented, I will carry the family crest on it for him, as he always had wanted to see this game's glory. And to the Devs, I'd just like to say thank you for creating such an astounding series for him. " Men of Harlech onto Glory This will every be your Story Keep these burning words before ye Welshmen will not yield! "
I'm very sorry for your loss and hope that he's up there, smiting some heretics right beside the rest of the fallen. I'm not very good with all the lore quotes, but I'm sure he is at peace.
Commiserations for your loss, As an ex-soldier ( australian army) let me say this, "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them." And Old soldiers never die, we're just redeployed to a different campaign.
May his soul rest In peace. My consolations for your loss. Dont mourn his death but celebrate his life.
