The Praetor readied himself for teleport, looking at his surroundings and before the teleport engaged thought about what was going to happen. 'First I will replace my old weapon.... Then team up with the Captain and ask for another deployment to finish these renegades off... I don't care if I do not return... I would help them.... Kill them.... I would kill them all, all of my brothers....' The words in his mind kept twisting around as if somebody is putting other words into him, but he started to take them wrong for his own...
  2. Sergeant Belisarius awoke with a rather intense headache. He could feel broken bones knit together inside his heavily bruised body, a sensation he had never fully grown comfortable with.

Shifting off the Apothecary's slab he noticed a nearby servitor approach rapidly.

"Sergeant Judas Alexandros Belisarius, please accompany me to the forward armory for refitting of power armor and weapons." the vox-generated voice delivered the order in a dull monotone and Belisarius stood and followed the horrible man-machine to the armory.

After several minutes of refitting the Sergeant hefted his still slightly damaged power axe onto his back the magnetic clamps holding the massive weapon in place as he left the armory.

"Sergeant Belisarius," came a familiar voice," you'll be joining Brother Calvitus and his tactical squad into the lower levels of the facility to eliminate any remaining orks as well as Dark Mechanicus operatives. Recovery of experimental weaponry is a low priority but don't let the Techpriests hear me tell you that."

"Affirmative, Captain," Belisarius turned and sprinted to meet his tactical squad, Brother Calvitus nodding his assent.

    "Sound off, Brothers," intones Belisarius.

    "Daedalos," replies the Techmarine.

    "Salvior," replies the Apothecary.

"Dromos," replies a brother carrying a flamer.

"Atropos," replies a brother carrying a heavy bolter.

"Antonaius," replies a brother carrying a standard bolter.

"Erastian," replies a brother carrying a flamer.

"Akilios," replies a brother carrying a standard bolter.

"We just get finished with the damned orks and now we have traitor techpriests, must be something in the water," the Sergeant grins, his helmet still under his arm, the smile seems to relax his brothers.

"Brothers Calvitus and Daedalos with me on point," Belisarius locks his helm into place and hoists his bolter.

"Brothers Dromos, Atropos, and Salvior, take center followed by Antonaius, Akilios, and Erastian you have rear."

Sergeant Belisarius approaches Brother Erastian and bumps helmets with him.

"You have our hindquarters, Brother, be gentle," this elicits a chuckles from the Minotaurs," Everyone, keep an eye on your flanks, don't hesitate to inform me of anything suspicious, we are entering a hole in the ground against an unknown enemy with nothing but the good graces of the Emperor to watch our sorry asses."

"And myself, Sergeant," chimes in Erastian.

"It's not you I'm worried about, Brother," replies Belisarius.

The squad begins its decent into the facility, lights on their packs coming to life in the dimly lit bowels of Kor's Fall...

    Battle A: Misdirected Boarding Action
Five Terminators appeared aboard the Praetor's main battle ship, each ones mind tainted by the Sorcerer's devilish will. They all saw the same thing and it was even worse than they would of imagined; the corruption had spread to their brothers, all those who awaited them aboard the vessels were corrupted! Heinous marks of chaos had been carved into the walls and the ships crew spoke in twisted vile tongues, some twisted with the efforts of horrible daemon things in their flesh trying to break free. Exactly as the Sorcerer wanted them to see, then his will was blunted.

"I know you heretic." The voice of a librarian hissed into his mind, and immediately began to pummel him with psychic force that caused his body to crumple to a knee.

"And I know you loyalist dog..." Immediately he returned fire, drawing strength from his disruptive warp field. He soon discovered it was a war on two fronts as another librarian joined in the psychic duel and wrestled for control over his brothers minds.

The latter librarian was Lexicanum Durand who spoke to his brothers with mental telepathy. "Do not hear the traitors lies, he warps your vision and seeks to twist your faith in the Emperor to darker means. Resist!" Even with two librarians wrestling against him the sorcerer was holding his own. Even as his attention was forced toward the librarians more of the Praetor's terminators were being teleported back to their barge, his gambit had failed but that didn't mean he was out of ideas.

    Battle C:
Upon reaching the entrance to the facility the squads discover fresh damage, wrecked corpses of multiple servitors and techpriest. Judging by the lay out of the bodies it seemed the fight was amongst themselves, the damage done to most of the wrecks was consistent with that of heavy bolter fire, of which most the guard servitors had been armed.

A screech of binary further in the walls is followed by mixed burst of static and what sounds like gothic gibberish. A convulsing tech priest is on his knees at the center of another apparent fire fight, a strange multi barreled device that feeds a case lined with electric coils is held limply in his right hand. Of the five squads sent to investigate it is the two assault squads who approach first with weapons trained on the adept.

With a sudden jolt the adept stiffens and begins to rise, the darkness of his hood makes the flashes of green coming from his eyes all the more apparent. The whine of servos above alerts the Minotaurs to the presence of gun servitors implanted into the walls. Another harsh screech of binary and the servitors open fire on the Minotaurs. The Adept raises the odd weapon and pulls the trigger sending a spray of electric fletchetts into the leading Tactical squad before a storm of bolt pistol fire rips him apart.

Raphael stepped backwards, seeing them killing eachother. The Images shifting in his very head. The Librarians had looks of angels, the next moment they turned into horrifying images. The same was for the Terminators, his battle-brothers. They kept shifting from one thing to another. Good and Evil.... always shifting and that is when he made his decision.

He dropped his Assault Cannon and grabbed one of a fallen Terminator who got teleported back. Raphael raised the cannon and activated it, Shooting a salvo from left to right among all the Terminators and Librarians and everyone else around.

"There is only one truth! And that is me!" The Terminator-Devastator yelled as he fired with the deadly precision he was known for.

    Battle A: Misdirected Boarding Action
One Librarian fell as he was blown back into a wall by the sheer force of shells, his body a bullet laden heap of ceramite, blood and shattered bone. The other Librarian dropped down to avoid the worst of it, just as Raphael tracked the gun down after him the Captain's power sword came down in a glittering arc and clove the assault cannon in two, three of his First Company brothers stepping forward to restrain him with their bulk and augmented strength. Yet all was not quite well yet, four more of the terminators opened fire with their storm bolters or clubbed their brothers with power fist. The Captain was slain when one such fist punched into his back and disintegrated his spine.

"We are with you brother Raphael! Strike these heretics down!" The infighting of the terminators was a devastating enough sight to behold, yet the Sorcerer's fiendish plans were still unfolding. With one of the minds arrayed against him dead and the other a measly Lexicanum he quickly overpowered the wounded librarian and opened his soul fully to the beings of the warp. Taking a tone of panic he let his voice flow into the minds of his pawns.

"Look upon the Witch! It is he who betrayed you, even in death he seeks to end you! " The fallen Librarian screamed in agony, faces began to shift within his armor and wherever the power armor cracked his exposed flesh was pierced by claws. Slowly his body lifted into the air and was stretched out, flesh pulled apart like clothe as a portal to the warp was opened from within him, a tide of corrupting ichor washed out into the hold, eating through the body gloves of the crew and melting them like digestive acid, from within the fetid pool foul Plague Bearers began to arise. "Quickly, I shall open a warp gate! Leave these fools and come to me! Your deaths will not adequately serve the Emperor now, not yet!"

The Preator of Orpheus nodded as an Angel of the Emperor walked out of the portal which the Astronomicon itself must have formed.

"You heard our savior, the Angel of the God-Emperor!" Raphael announced, merely unaffected by the attempts of the captain to strike him down. The Terminator grabbed two Storm Bolters as no other Assault Cannon was around and being completely untalented with Melee Weapons. "Let us purge the Heretics, Angel of the Emperor, lead us to the glorious times just when our father defeated the Source of all evil, Horus."
