I'd personally like to see it just so I can get an idea of how well I've done. If my end of game score screen showed kills, deaths, and captures, that would be enough for me to get an idea of how much I helped my team, and how well I'm doing at getting better at the game.
It tells you if someone is losing too many lives on Harkus where tickets are limited. That is indeed a purpose that is beneficial to the team.
To answer my own question. The K/D ratio does nothing it doesn't tell you how well your doing. This game is all about the kills like so many of you have said, so all that counts is the kills. It's not about how many times you have been killed, if you had a 70/3 ratio and I had 71/71 I still had a bigger impact than you. So its all about the kills. And if you want to know how well you did look at the table, it tells you how well you played the game as intended.
I'm fine without it. I'd actually like to see more team stats. -Total healing -Total number of players spawning off of the mobile spawns we requisition. -Vehicle repair points( when vehicle repair comes back in some form)
Very ture, but for just one map is it worth having. All it does is tell you who died the most, doesn't tell you why so still pointless stat. Even for harkus
It would only be for that one map where it matters. If you can see someone is racking up the deaths but is low on kills and/or xp (meaning he's not doing much else), then you can find out why and try to help him.
All shooters are about that, sorry. If everybody in your team die a lot you usually loose. Do not play shooters if you do not like it. And reading all these arguments against k/d I can tell 1 thing: it is all about protecting painful egos of some players who like to think about themselves better than they really are. And all these numbers disturb them doing so. It is grim, dark future, not park with rainbow unicorns.
This is just as true as sayin those who want to protect K/D just want to inflate their ego. Non contributive. Please let's stay on facts rather than insults
