I've not been "maining" any specific class, but I have used the Warlock a lot in the past. But with the changes as they went live, I won't do that any more. I was vaguely hopeful that the reduction in health/armor would be made up for with having more options, but for being more fragile AND dealing less melee damage I got exactly nothing. I can put on the Advanced Rune Armor to end up with a whopping 150 health and 70 armor (yes, no typo: 70), but then there are not even enough LP used for destructor, even after removing the pistol.
Meh, just throw on the new Psychic power and give all your DA buddies even more disgusting ranged damage output and reap the rewards. I don't think their intention was to ever have melee supports be ballsy and actually HUNT down people, the point was that they had the ability to DEFEND themselves from other melee if one got to them. Getting shot in the face though well....that seems to happen to everyone now heh.
Wish the ASC wasn't so awful then. Only the TLASC is workable imho. ASC is only good if you get a clean shot where you can nail the head on a standing target. In straight trading, it loses to everything it seems(Or I'm just a terrible shot).
Well, when it comes to facing the enemy head on I think we need to rely more on our warlocks to buff us with enhance and embolden first. Protect, if we're defending.
Maybe an adjustment thing but, if you have to go face-to-face with the enemy, you're already fighting a losing war, even with the Warlocks behind you. Problem is that our reach is really bad compared to LSM and CSM. And now even the Eldar speed doesn't bridge that gap anymore. I'm open to suggestions
May as well make the warlock a "buffing grenade" for the DA, because no one is gonna enjoy being a 100% buffbot, no matter how effective it may be. Everyone agrees they were way too effective at melee, outclassing the banshee, but they wrecked it too hard and in the wrong direction
I never agreed, the problem is the banshee. When the defining feature of the howling banshee is "she has a power sword" it's not hard for the class to be swept aside.
