Reticle bug

when shooting at an enemy who has a big gatling gun (can't remember the name) the reticle on my bolter goes really wide, killing my accuracy. The screen also gets really blurry.

    Is this a known bug?

Edit: It seems the Heavy Bolters suppression is intentional. Lets have a discussion about if it should be changed or kept as it is, for balancing purposes.
  2. I believe you are being suppressed, that is intended.

It seems a bit excessive to have full suppression of an enemy after only hitting them a couple of times.

You don't even need to be hit, just shot at as far as I'm aware.

Yup, as intended. It's to simulate you being forced to take cover as bullets fly all around you, so assault troops can advance on you. It's pretty much the only reason for taking a hb in ec.

Devs talked about buffing damage for the heavy bolter

What if it was changed so that when you're being fired upon by the Heavy Bolter it should only make your vision blurry, unless the bullets are hitting you which would then suppress your fire more and more as you get hit by more bullets.

What do you guys think of that? Or do you like it how it is?

Hm, thought you were referring to the "snap to reticule" bug I experience regularly, the targeting crosshair gets weirdly moved to the closest edged surface (a box or edge of railing). It is really annoying!

  9. That's not a bug either, it's a design feature that lets you know that your line of fire is blocked by a nearby wall. Due to it being 3rd person before it was put in if you were firing around a corner or something your reticule might be dead on target but you end up shooting the wall instead. This is because the path of the rounds are calculated from your gun's barrel, so the reticule shows you what you're actually going to hit, not just what you can see.

Wait, that's a feature? I understand the concept behind it but the representation is...odd at the least. Could be the 3rd person camera perception issue but I get the feeling this should be improved upon, right now it feels and looks more like a glitch than a solid feature.
