After hitting rank six and getting everything there's little to do except purge the xenos and heretic filth. How would everyone feel about the ability to reset your rank and advancement down to 0 and nothing again for a reward? What would the reward be? RTC? Points that can only be spent in a store that has some permanent upgrades to your account like a permanent extra veteran life per match? Tell me what you think.
That's a very DoWII last stand thing. Probably not. I don't believe level 6 is where the level will remain, with Terminators coming out, it will probably make a level 7. With commanders, 8, dreadnoughts perhaps 9, so on so forth. That's just my guess.
It would add a lot of replayability if they added that alongside a lot more upgrades and wargear to unlock. It would be kinda like the infamy system in payday which is more or less what you described.
There's a system like that in Alien Swarm. You reset and get a new purely cosmetic rank. However in AS you also got all your weapons wiped.
You mean something like Prestige from Call of Duty, or Infamy Level of Payday 2? Well... possible, i never cared for those, but judging on the other games that model was somewhat succesfull... Reward it with Venerable cosmetics maybe?
I liked it in Alien Swarm anyway. The grind is a bit long for me though. Are you level 6 in all factions?
Imo they should increase the max rank so that at least theres a semblance of progression even if theres only for the new shiny icon.
