  1. Armaros the Subjugator Armaros Forum Beta Tester

Three days this forum has been open to the public, however it's been in beta for a longer period of time.
  2. No forum ever gets swamped by trolls in beta. But once it opens to the public....watch out.

I know but i try to be possitive. Its the first time im in a multi-faction warhammer community and dont feel the urge to vomit. Just good , excited roleplayers here. I have seen the dark side of the fanbase. Grim Dark sounds cute in comparisson....

We members are the backbone of the community, it's up to us to show new members how helpful we can be, I've said this hundreds of times but the Warhammer community is by far the best community I have ever encountered. Every community will have its problems from time to time with trolls etc, but if someone is causing problems, please don't respond with negativity, it will just add fuel to the fire - report them or simply PM me and I will do everything in my power to help and sort out the problem.

Keep up the great work, together we can make this place something special :)
  6. I think what contributes to the reason the Warhammer community is so fantastic is that the vast majority of it's members have to some degree involved themselves or are involved in the miniatures hobby which puts us in direct contact with other people outside the realm of internet anonymity. In those situations it kind of encourages people to behave well and get along with each other and have a healthy tolerance for each other.

That and there is usually a relaxed level of good sportsmanship amongst Warhammer fans. WarhammerOnline, although not a Warhammer 40 000 game had a great community when I played it, despite all the hackers and cheaters in that game, the population was very pleasant and friendly on destruction side I recall. Dawn of War and Dawn of War 2 for the most part also had a fantastic community for a long time. There is a lot of immaturity (harmless chat trolling) from the younger members of the community in Dawn of War 2, but it was mostly just kids being kids (and no moderators to police it).

Calm before the storm I suppose, sooner or later we're gonna get an influx of new folks.

11 reports out of 10,000 messages? Holy crap! o_O

    I think that's a new record. :)

Indeed, community management is better the more involved the person doing it is. Moderation is quite the opposite as a moderator needs to be as neutral as possible as he is micromanaging the individual problems in the community and thus is easily perceived as moderating opinions he does not agree with if things come out wrong.

So far so good, it´s good to see that others other than myself are having a good time here as well as wanting to contribute and maintain what we´ve currently got! :D
