GODS DAMNITS! If I have to fight next a word bearer I'll have a permanent -% dmg buff bc I'll be shooting him at least 1 round every clip.
Night Lords, yes they aren't loyal to the Emperor and hate the Imperium. But they aren't technically "Chaos" as a good amount of them hate the idea of worshiping "Gods".
Well, the ability to be a random renegade and then somehow (if desired) team up to form actual warbands of choice would be ideal... But sure, improbable. ^^^^
You are both correct, and incorrect. It varies from warband to warband, mostly. The line is evenly drawn. There are some Night Lord warbands that are extremely corrupt and openly allow chaos to enter them. (Krieg Acerbus, the Axemaster's warband comes to mind) Most Night Lords hate chaos, and hate taint. They see chaos as a tool, a weapon, and they utilize it as such - but they do not view it in a zealous or a religious way (Black legion/Word Bearers respectively). They acknowledge the gods as being present. Minor spoiler from Void Stalker ahead - but it provides good insight on the topic! "I. Never. Worshiped. Anything.' Agree on Night Lords. Would really like to play them as opposed to some silly chaos worshiper. Unless I can be a Thousand Sons magus. That'd be fine, just fine.
