Yeah not a big fan of "one shoting". Not being able to counter an attack or do anything to turn the tables leaves us with a sense of powerlessness. We don't play a game to just sit there and wait for the loading screen thinking "oh, ok then right that's over" we play for fun, and that is anything but. Really hoping that the Lascannon will be less affective against infantry, maybe needing a larger target to lock on to at longer range so would be a poor choice for snipers.
I actually think its perfect how it is now. If you stand still long enough and get sniped by one of those its really your fault.
Seeing them give attention to special on-kill weapon effects like that makes me wanna get a melta pistol on my Sorcerer, just to hopefully see someone turn to molten slag.
also appear like there is no wounded state against a lascannon there is no body at all left. against lascannon support class appear useless.
It takes the las cannon a couple seconds to charge, and even then they cant move and their sensetivity is lowered to compensate for the charging, making it very unlikey you will hit anyone unless they just decide to stand still out in the open like a dolt.
Well, it isn't working as a sniper rifle either. It has to load up while emitting a very visible tracer laser, which exposes you a lot. And if the sensitive lowering is true, then it's not going to be the best anti-infantry weapon. Still properly deadly though; it's an anti-vehicle cannon. I do like the special death animation too. I wonder how could others look like. I imagine melta weapons to leave a pool of molten metal and some vapour, and the blastmaster to be quite messy
