Reinforcing The Supply Lines Concept

  1. Reinforcing the Supply Lines

Imagine if you will a ramshackle fleet of zeppelins cruising low over a cragged plain, rough airships bristling with firepower ready to unleash itself upon hapless foes who may find themselves caught beneath this cloud of gleeful barbarity. Far in the distance, packs of horned riders gather on the cliffsides tracking the sluggish movements across the expanse. As one they descend from the inclines moving to engage, darting from slope to hillside as they avoid lobbed artillery fire. Crawling through shallow ravines, the crimson armored warriors move to intercept within packed Rhinos and twin linked Predators.

In a thunder of spent ordinance the forces meet each other in small arms range, the beastile airships raining down fire in heavy machine gun nests pocked across the lumbering craft, exchanging affixed missles with the horde of warbike riders as the heavy weapons emplacements spit slag rounds against a fury of lanced laser batteries accompanied by explosive rounds. As the zeppelins burst and descend to the surface, their malicious cargo spews forth across the landscape, their hapless keepers emerging from the wreckage, in a whirl of instinctual tinkering reforging the seemingly useless scrap piles into luggish war engines.

Uninterested in quandaries of scrap production, the horned warriors enround the bristling heaps, laying down volleys of molten rounds to reduce the junk armor to puddles of slag before a charge of raving demigods clashes with a green tide of engineered aggression.

So what I'm trying to illustrate, is what if the distribution of RP from faction command to outposts, fortresses, war camps, etc, was an animated process, where the various supply types [Say Thunderhawks for LSM, and equivelents +multiple types for all factions] and the move along set patterns by whoever issues them to distribute. This happens in world where it can be attacked and disrupted, but crashed supply vehicles can still be salvaged.

It's a very good idea and logistic support was mentioned by the devs early however they withdrew from this idea as far as I remember. Still, I hope that it will be one of the priorities some time after launch along with upgradable bases. If we want this strategic\logistic feel to the game, these things are a must and I would be really sad if they never appeared in game.

That's pretty much how I see it. It'l also completely cripple whatever faction gets the least organised strikeforces to ensure unhindered logistics lines.
