Regarding Playable IG in EC

  1. So then you have two factions with the double variety of weapons against one.

    Then orks need the same. A cannonfodder faction and the super heros like IG and LSM.
    Eldar need that too.

    It wouldnt be difficult for chaos to get daemons as IG variation, but no idea what other faction you want to include in orks and eldar.

    IG wouldn't be cannon fodder in EC. They'd be able to go 1v1 against the other sides just fine.

    Also, IG and LSM use a similar set of weapons. The main difference is the standard armament for IG is the lasgun and for the LSM it's the boltgun. Other than that, their special and heavy weapon selections are pretty much identical.

    I can see them playable but they would be weak has shit. Something like 50 to health and amor, 10 in toughness. While they have access to their vehicule, 10 sec respawn, all of their weapon (rocket launcher, grenade launcher, lasgun, sniper riffle ect).

    Their str would be long range, vehicular warfare and middle range with their explosive weapon. They would SUCK in close range and melee

    hell they could even make cultis for the CSM faction.

  4. Still the other factions would need the same. Dark Eldar, Necron, Tau. Every other faction would be better to implent. Also how do you want to balance them? A IG with the same stats as a Space Marine? Try and go to the fanboy spess marhen faction to tell them that they will now run around as Imperial Army. You will open a new salt mine.
  5. I always thought the reason they weren't included was because they'd be too squishy against the four races that are already in game. I mean, the idea of an Imperial Guardsman meleeing a Traitor Assault is just laughable!

    15 IG against 15 Chaos Space Marines? Even a Commisar would be like "Fuck this shit, I'm outta here!"

    I repeat. EC made Ork Boyz that can easily go 1v1 against Astartes.

    The idea that IG would have to be cannon fodder is irrelevant after the above became fact.

    And, frankly, feth Space Marines. They get too much attention and specialness as it is.

    The other factions wouldn't need the same, because they are not simply one small part of an empire that spans half the galaxy and makes up more than half of the playable Codices in the tabletop game.

    I want them to focus on making a game that doesn't feel likes its in the beta stages of production. Nearly 1/3 or 1/2 of the entire player base is suffering from horrible lag and optimization because Behavior outright LIED about the recommended and preferred specs. Secondly the Melee system is a complete joke (like I posted in another thread). Third the balance of the game needs tuning on all sides, Eldar aside there are other weapons for the factions that are simply too good, Ground Assault Marines with shields, Power Klaws with shields, and Plasma Cannon spammers come to mind. I don't give 2 flying gobos about a new faction until they make this game playable.

    They did it for Orks.

    Let's not pretend that IG going up against equal numbers of Astartes or Eldar is any more ridiculous than Orks doing the same thing.

    I'm pretty sure I said "in a future expansion" not "drop everything and do this now."
