Sir, you are crazy, our questions can wait a couple of days so you can eat, sleep and do all those things that humans need to live
I'll point out for those that might scream "but X might unintentionally be more powerful then Y hero that is paid for, that's P2W!" It's only Pay 2 Win if they fail to balance it after the fact. Just consider a second, a free 2 play orc can cry P2W for anything they can't obtain as being free players, but it's going to be inevitable until balance changes happen. Give it time and just give honest feedback to Miguel and the team. Hope you guys work hard for E3, but also hope you have an utter blast and can rest well after!
It's never that simple and unfortunately can never be. If the stats are different but balanced then that's a sidegrade. A sidegrade has an advantage in some situations and a disadvantage in others. Which means a founder can have access to an advantage in some situations. Which is classic P2W.
Nothing is ever simple. And that's why balance comes into play. Balance is never perfect, but if something purchased from the store and it's P2W, easiest way to avoid it would be to make the stats exactly like a non store bought version. Give a refund or just give credit or something.
world of tanks has premium tanks and and many tanks you cant get anymore, and i don't see people calling those tanks p2w, just because you cant get it unless you were playing the game during launch or when said tank was available dosn't make it p2w
Actually they are always complaining about wallet warrior tanks. The redeeming feature is most of them are weaker then a full equipped tank of there tier, there are a few exceptions though that are a constant hot topic. Personally I prefer reskins of normally available items rather than asymmetric balance. The regular guns and equipment can be asymmetric but premium should stick to being better looking.
Like another poster that replied to you said they actually do - they as in we, the members of the gaming community and critics, give World of Tanks a world of grief (haha, horrible) about hiding parts of the game behind paywalls, or giving incredibly huge chunks of the gameplay away for cash. I'm not sure if it's still in effect but I know at one stage it was possible to actually buy ammunition that had flat stat buffs on it, making it better than regular ammunition? Gold Ammo or something? That sort of ideology is exactly what all games should strive to stay the hell away from, it's toxic. After reading most of the current threads I think it's become clear the responses of the majority of people is that they would rather see any Founders-Only Content be restricted to features purely cosmetic/early-access/generally symbolic in nature.
yes its gold ammo and it still in game, you just know have the option to by it with credits as well, but its pretty expansive, but unlike Ec There a totally free to play game, they need to be able to make money some how, and most preim tanks are weaker then a upgrade take of the same tier
I kinda agree with people that are worried about the unique stats. After all, diversity is power. One problem is, even if the direct effect it has on the gameplay isn't that big, it might still annoy the hell out of anyone killed by sch a weapon, even if it isn't quite rational. I personally believe avoiding this sort of toxic situation is a good reason to avoid selling anything but cosmetics. An important point is that I haven't seen anyone complain about only getting cosmetics yet, while there have been plenty of concerns bout selling unique stats.
