It not just Nathan's steam post. Brent also said in the stream last week that we were getting a smaller patch last week, and a bigger patch with some content next week. The devs are getting worse and worse at communicating with each iteration. And I really don't like that my news comes from Steam instead of the forums that the devs are part of
As you say, transparency is great when one acts on what has been shared/said. Or you know, at the very least be professional and post patch notes before or right when the patch goes live, just a thought, it's not like it's the industry standard or anyt oh wait! The following is not in response to your post but "everyone" else: And to everyone that's saying "oh you need to read some lines of text to play the game?" [circle jerk intensifies] : What I need, is to know is what has been changed, has any numbers on specific weapons been touched? Has any wargear gotten tweaked, any optimization tweaks, balance changes, aforementioned changes to the Supply Boxes, (should I keep stockpiling my REQ, because I have no idea if they have indeed been changed with the patch, or if the change when it happens in the future will be retroactive or not) has X been done to Y, is the X change to Y intentional, and the list (oh the irony) goes on.
You misread. I meant prioritizing fixing broken game mechanics/features should have priority over something as irrelevant as a character base, an element that absolutely no one cares about. I have all the faith in Dev team and their capability of delivering what was and still is being promised. Im just running out of patience. Reading patch annonuncement for this patch and seeing " • Store, Supply Crate and Character Progression: More cheap wargear, bundles and even some free stuff for customization. This is inline with our policy of not being pay to win. With the lack and mix of wargear available from these 3 sources, some of them incorrectly set, you can easily get that perception. This also means balancing the contents of the above and what comes out of these 3 respective channels. This work never ends." and then going in-game and not seeing any free stuff for customization is getting old. This work never ends, I get it, but when will it start ?
Coming from the type of guys who are responding positively to everyone who shares his opinion and negatively to anyone who tries to see something good in this game. I didn't open a thread which says that the game is the best and the devs are the best. Atm you're more of a zealot than I am ... constantly "proving" his point by sarkasm and jokes that the game is shit, but feel free to enlighten me. I'm not defending for bE. I just don't wanna leave this forum because of the constant complaining about everything. What did these complaints brought you so far? I know myself that the game has huge flaws nobody should ignore and which are unacceptable for a release title, thank you for your daily reminder. You're making the world a better place.
I actually feel like they gave us only part of the patch. But really, I hoped for Eldar customization, end for the whining Astartes, and much more. At least game runs better (for some reason I saw 22 eldar players on Olipsis, I forgot to screen it aganist 15 SM players) but game runs much better, its more stable.
I understand it I just point out that you cant prioritize graphic department to fixin stuff in C++. But otherwise, Im glad Im not the only who get confuzed by this "free customization stuff" I did not found. And to be honest, I dont even like those bases and when I bought a box I cant see anything but blurry drop pod or a Christmats tree... not really sure. Like if somebody set depth of field at 10 cm and over 9000% effect... Im no way fully satisfied, but perhaps because I bought this game last week I have plenty of patience adn I do not yet understand some manic street doom preachers here... perhaps in time. So far I have fun.
