Rank based on win rate

  1. What do you think guys, you already know we have rank system based on xp also there can be color system about win rate on ranks. For example bronz,silver etc colours can be added for personal win rate of players. According to this system we can understand how experianced our opponents and clans can compete for higher ranks.

    Lets not add competitive ranking into the mix. People get salty enough already about everything without giving them an excuse to feel superior/inferior to other players. There aren't enough active players to divide the player base into their respective skill brackets AND their chosen factions.
  3. Im not talking about seperating player based on their ranks. I just talking about personal contribution based on xp earning or win rate. Because except competetiveness you cannot hold player in long run. Think about mobas people play same map and champions for years.

    You can't have a personal ranking that depends on a team effort. Ask any vet, we'll all tell you the difference between high EXP/Kills/Wins isn't your personal skill, it' show good your team was. You could be the best player in the world, you'll only get 10 kills/3k XP/1-2 wins if your team isn't up to par (at least generally). Having a ranking system based on that would basically mean your personal rank depends on your team. Now what do we think would happen when someone's personal rank suffers due to a shit team? You can almost imagine the animosity.

    I personally enjoy a game more when it DOESN'T have a ranking system. I just wanna play man I don't need some random number/symbol to justify me playing a game.

    When I think MOBAs I think "toxic playerbase", because League of Legends, DotA, and Heroes of the Storm have hands down some of the worst in game communities it has ever been my displeasure to encounter. Sure, some people might stick around longer, but those also tend to be the people who like to talk shit because someone has less than 300 hours in game and go out of their way to make trying to play the game not fun for new people out of some misguided sense of superiority.

    I think adding competitive ranks would be all this game would need to fall down to LoL levels of bullshit in the playerbase, because frankly we're not all that far from there already.

    I also don´t think that adding a rank system like OP proposed is a good idea.

    Unlike other competitive games like LoL, Dota or CS GO which are all games that have very small teams (5v5 etc) unlike EC that is 15v15 or 30v30. In Dota one guy can totally carry his team to victory but in EC no matter how good you do if your team isn't pulling their weight you´ll lose the game. Adding a ranked system based on wins would skyrocket the toxicity and flaming within your own team immensely.

    What I would like to see though are personal stats like Wins/Losses, KDA, avg points, etc. ingame, maybe even tied to your loadouts if that's possible? That way you could see exactly how effective you are with your different loadouts.

    But that's just my personal opinion, i could see why people want this

    Because even the best player can beu fu## up with a moron team.

    And the next step we see in World of tanks :
    a mod telling you your chance to win and people giving up before the match even started, leading to the promised lose.

    Tracking winrate is pointless, I've had games with 40+ kills 10k+ xp and still lost to enemy teams with the highest being like 20kills and 6k xp (not that kills/xp is a perfect display of effort put in to win but it's something and generally if you gain kills/xp you are doing something to help)

    Only thing I could think of that would semi work is some sort of average XP tracking if you really want to categorize players into different skill ranks. Not that such a system would do much good (atm) since we don't really have enough players to pair people up into different games anyway.
