From what I've understood when the devs have talked about heroes and such earlier I believe that Founder wouldn't get classes that anyone else couldn't just configurations of weapons and such that were different from the non founder version, don't qoute me on this though. As for the rangers I feel that they really should be a standard class for they are, as many have pointed out, an iconic class for the race. Locking an entire class to founders only is less than smart in my eyes but i support having founders only configurations that alter the classes prefered gameplay (trading the longrifle for a shuriken cannon ex) As for the whole fear of sniper wars? The game has veichles, jet pack troopers and even drop pods from what I've heard so while it may be a bore to fight against I don't believe that it will be that strong of a "tactic". What I would like to see though to mitigate this problem that usually arises with free sniper classes is to maybe put an upper limit on how many that can play them in regards to the total population of their race, don't know myself if this is a good idea or not honestly.
Pathfinders would make for a better hero or elite class than rangers I guess. Also, yeah. I am doubting that sniping will become an OP thing in eternal crusade ^^ Some large maps with enough open ground should be a secure and good point for snipers, though. Attacking players will have to coordinate attacks well against defenses like that. Would be pretty darn tough though for snipers to accomplish anything if they are limited to ruined cities with corners and tall buildings ruining line of sight everywhere.

But didn't devs say that after a while everyone can get their hands to Founders only heroes ? Or was it the founder only vehicles ?

that was a pool: was a proposal for recive feedback and decide. the actual situation of the founder item is still unknow. for this reason people want a clarification/ confirmation.

I think having rangers for normal people and pathfinders for founders would be nice. Pathfinders could possibly be faster/ be able to navigate terrain easier while rangers could have access to more gear such as extra grenades or something
Speak clearly and we might not be arguing over wrong assumptions about posts. Most people are being led to believe this is exclusive with announcing the exclusive class first and not a single word on a regular one.
