Are a total turn off and THE main reason why my enthusiasm for this game is rapidly vanishing. Everyone knows the feeling, we know exactly which mods we want to buy for our weapons, we save up, we pay for a supply drop and it's just something totally different... I can't be arsed to come up with a better system right now and it's not my job anyway, I just want to vent my frustration with this bullshit and I'll feel better if others are also frustrated with it.
  2. 1 to 3 is a shitty scale. Why don't you scale down to 1-2? Black and white. Neutral isn't relevant anyway.
  3. Agreed, it's incredibly frustrating to spend 30,000 requisition (which given queue time at the moment is about 6 hours play on average for me) only to get a mod I never use for a weapon I never use!

There's only 2 things I want from the 30k boxes so I could be spending hundreds of thousands in requisition to get the things I actually want.

I really want to just buy the mods and/or weapons for requisition. If they want to keep the boxes let's just put cosmetic stuff in them.

I'm not a fan (deal with them in BF games too) but it also doesn't make me think any less of the game. I'm sure there is a better system to use. I would have had the cosmetics in random loot before I put attachments in there.

Agreed, +1, like and everything. Well, 6 hours on average maybe not that much, but I get what you're saying.
The randomness of the lootboxes is truly annoying.

I simply dont understand why the game doesnt follow established systems and ideas that are proven to work. Its nice to see new approaches to certain mechanics in EC, but RNG combined with weapon mods? No thanks.

I'm still trying to get that damn drum magazine attachment. Getting plenty of other attachments I don't really need.

You worded one abit harshly geezer, made me feel bad voting it....but I still did :3 Unique weapons, cosmetics, stuff that means naff all by all means stick it exclusively in a box. Mods & master crafts, stick em in the store as well! Disclaimer- I have every master craft & most mods I wanted on my main, unlike me however new blood isn't already invested in the game. Getting the last things I need & going through it all on an alt didn't stop me taking a break to wait for campaign in fact reaching the 12k stage on my Night Lord is kinda what started the break & is one reason I talk myself out of loading it up atm.

Even if you leave master crafts in there please reconsider on all mods (Nuffle hates me!).

The problem would be much smaller if there wasn't such a huge amount of things you will NEVER EVER use in the boxes. Skins whose look does not justifiy their use, bad mods or some that are inferior to others and are forgotten as soon as you find those, mastercrafted gear that is too expensive to use them compared to their "advantages", scopes of any couleur and so on.
    Examples? Sure.
Scopes. Can't mention them often enough.
Damage mods for melee weapons. +5.25 damage? Yeah, important when your weapon already deals 130.
Durability regen mods. They can help occasionally, but usually the fight is decided before your weapon has a chance to regenerate. And if the cluster is so big there is no time, the increased regenerations won't cut it in the most cases.

I don't hate the box system, but the boxes should give things priority that fit your current custom loadouts aka your playstyle. Not 100% drop of certain mods, but increases in chances. Like, if you have a Bolter equipped in a Tactical loadout, give 2 of every Bolter mod instead of 1 each in the box, but as soon as you get one of them, the other one disappears; the last part should not be hard, the boxes already know your inventory. That would increase the chances from 1/X to 2/X+1. There is still enough other stuff, but you will more likely get the stuff you need.

Oh, @Oveur . Hope that this thread gives input for something more rewarding for the far future. :)

+1 RNG boxes have to go and replaced with a Certification-system (PS2) or something similar. (Heck, it just should fit the 40k-universe!)

The point is to keep people playing until they've gotten what they want.
I wish it was just a different advancement tree.
