In almost every MMO that I played there will be an option... to Dance! Edit: The topic is not about dancing but character animations (you can still talk about it though). But to take the joke aside, I'm curious what kind of animations and custom emote have the developers in mind? There are discussions about colours and shapes, even about genders but what about the animations? Of course I don't think that anyone will want to do a quick dance in the dark future (maybe except the eldars ) I'm curious what do you think about this? I think, it would be nice to see a bit difference in the movement of different classes (for example a Banshee should run differently than a Farseer, or in the case of SM a librarian vs techmarine)
Well yeah I would like to see that my Space Wolf wont sracth his armour covered butt as same some puny Ultramarine but I think in the case of look-a-like classes it would be too much work to develop. But on the other hand there are several classes that differs in dimensions (orkz have a tendency to grow physically with their status) and something that looks good on an average size creature it looks ridiculous on a bigger or even a smaller one. About the dance: Give us some (tons of) ale and we will show you how the wolves do it!
I can imagine me playing as a Word Bearer just after rough battle and standing ontop a pile of Ultrasmurfs and then all the sudden my char starts to bust a move, my god that would be hilarious, but then again even the thought of an astartes dancing seems pretty alien, or hey hey, imagine this: On an open plain and Ork warboss an Eldar seer a Chaos SP and a Space Marine walk up to each other forming a circle, then there is a short pause of glaring to tense up the moment, then all four drops their weapons and starts to have a dance-off. xD
Yeah, I would make a macro to spam after every killing blow (I mean after I killed every Heretic Traitor and enemy of the God Emperor!) and do a quick move just to show off
No. This is going to be more of an action game, and not like WoW. If you want emotes and 'cutesy' stuff go to a MMO that wants to portray that. Not here.
i think we should have certain emotes, not dancing of course, but maybe space marines can make the sign of the Aquila across their chest and stuff like that
yeah, imagine how cool it would be after a SM defeats a tough enemy, and makes the sign of the Aquila over the corpse, or maybe a bunch of Orks all pounding their chests and chanting together right before a battle
Chaos players/Marines praying to the dark gods/Emperor Eldar on the witch path casting some runes in the air in front of them for luck or something. Orks....I don't know. Pulling a human leg out of a jacket pocket and having a snack? There's some neat stuff you can do.
