Death has been part of our world since the start of time, however kickass hair is pretty damn new.... Yea humanity has been desensitised pretty much, if women walked topless for quite some time, we will get used to it in the end.
Correction: Nobody wants you to expect a utopia. Also our "technological advancements" are a bounch of bullshit. When people say tech advancement nowdays they think full hd tv's and ipads lol. At the same time , under the same sun , a guy is drinking vitamine enhanced water while another guy is dying from a disease that has been considered extinct for over a century. Some rich piece of shit is paying 3k dollars for a dress while sm1 is starving to death. Some people are dying in wars waged for the profit of others while some make memes and jokes out of it. Some people are driving ferraris while others cannot conceive a means of transport that does not need to be fed and watered. Slavery still exists (yes it does) , people hate each other for imaginary differences , moral codes sink to shit and the social structure is a prison. All the wealth is in the hands of the few and your life is a series of choices that have been pre-made by others for you , weather you realise it or not. And ofcourse , we are the planet's cancer and we dont give a shit about tommorow as long as today is fine. Try to imagine your kids when they will be at their thirties , struggling to get a visa for freakin Siberia because it will be the only inhabitable place in the world. Nice. So yeah , progress is a fucking joke. We have progressed in how to kill each other and how to waste our time. We have found new ways to sake our hedonism and raised the amount of leisure some people can taste. But other than that , we are a bounch of apes.
Slow your roll, Debbie Downer. HD TV's and iPads are just as much of a technological advancement as the car you drive, or the computer you're using to type that post. Tell me who could send video feed from one side of the world to another in a matter of seconds twenty years ago. As for the rest of what you said, nobody is denying horrible things happen to people, but what are we suppose to do about it? Sit down and sulk about it all day? ~Memento mori~
First , you completely miss my point about tech progress and i wont spent all day explaining it to you. Also , memento mori means remember the dead , using latin phrases randomly doesnt make you smart , quite the opposite tbh. Second , by saying "what am i supposed to do about it" is the same as saying "i dont give a shit about it".
Well not to argue against or piss you off further or so. But tech advancement has been pretty damn fast as of recent times, and we keep advancing forward improving on what we have as well as add new technological items to the front at an slow pace though, imagine how it was and when the first Wright airplane was airborne just 110 years ago, look at us now, instead of what 5 meters of the ground for a few minutes, we are flying a few thousands of meters above ground around the world. Everything around us is advancing actually. What is not advancing is humanity. We have pretty much replaced the "terms and ideas" from medieval times the idea behind it all, if not from something even older, people still die, there is way too many of us, technology is taking over were there once were jobs, robotic arms in factories and the like, automated systems well you know the drill. More of humanity is brought up in birth less are dying and, less work is existing, its a system of fuck up, if we dont exit the bubble for new solutions, it is either war to trim the population by killing and Territorial-shifts to kill of the weaker ones and absorb it to the greater whole as in country takes over another one or new jobs in some new front. Were once we had Dukes and Earls and the like who held land, farms, peasants to work for them and perhaps trading/mining and other business is todays. "Wallmart", "Sony" and so and so forth, what has improved is that we dont kill people left and right as easy at the workplace, we got some sort of contract and so on, we have become more civil on the front. Alone we can all do A LOT, if humanity came together instead of remaining divided in countries and the like, frankly nothing would be impossible for us. Hologram video call coming SOON! Bad things happen to people who don't deserve it. Good things come to the less-than-virtuous. Life isn't fair, and you're just going to have to find a way to live with that.
