I love Chaos too, played them exclusively until Eldar launched. Except for one time when I made an LSM to test the Stormshield to see if their gripes about it underperforming were valid, which they weren't....pussies.
Heh it was good indeed, but nowhere near good as some CSM made it out to be.Though i have to say i would rather have seen it get a points cost increase and "retain" the ability to absorb damage from the users left side when not used than what we have now.
I don't think it would change too much. Let's see what more speed would change for melee: Jetpacks would still work perfectly fine. Shieldbros/Groundmelee would still, the same as right now, not be able to catch an enemy that just decides to run away. So, what exactly would change?
I wasn't meaning to belittle you my friend. I don't see how anyone that's played competitive PVP on a melee character and been kited can say that speed deficits for melee characters isn't that big of a deal, especially melee characters/classes/builds that dont have any type of snare or gap closer. Age of Conan had an interesting mechanic. If a player turned their back on you to flee, you could switch over to Bow and shoot them in the back, which slowed them for about 8 seconds. Perhaps something similar could be looked at in EC. Doesn't help shieldbro though.
Well, I guess that's fair Let's take WoW for an example. Getting kited was annoying, but all melee characters had gapclosers. So I agree with you that Gapclosers are a good Idea in general. But: The situation here is different. We already have characters without gapclosers. If right now someone runs away from you, you can't do anything. I don't see how this would change with faster Eldars. Edit: (And by the way, I am not totally against mechanics like that. For a long time, I have said I would approve if pistolshots in the back slowed the enemy down. I just don't see how this has to do with Eldar getting faster.)
