Tac sgt is not Tac marine That argument is like saying a slugga boy should be able to take a power klaw, I mean, the nob leading the squad can.
in 2 years ill know what the sound of 1000 chainswords sounds like. i wonder if there will be faction vehicles, pc dreadnaughts or centurion armor...
I would love to have an assault class that I can replace some of the perks for the jump pack to make me more nimble or faster or what have you on the ground. Besides....Wolves don't need wings
sergeant can be a sub-hero class whit some squad bonus ans wider gear selcion a buffer class who cost a lot less than a hero but still with limitation
tacticals shouldn't get chainswords unless they're a sgt. they should just have their standard combat blade for melee. though this might conflict with the Space Wolves' pack, Tacticals are pretty much all around already, let's not give them even more stuff making other classes less viable. sure he wouldn't be as effective as an assault marine, but he'd still be a much bigger threat. only specialized units that wield CCWs should have them(sgts and assault etc)
Maybe with some special perks or combinations of two or more perks (Sergeant rank? Veteran badge? whatever) we will be able to wield chainsword and pistol also for tac marines (it could cost few points). It would be awesome.
I am not to fust about the chain-sword as long as it is balanced. The new COD: ghosts had a good system on the multi-player.
I agree on some of this, that Chainswords shouldn't be available right at the start, they need to be earned. Considering the fact that not all standard tactical space marines (from the chapters that I know of) have a chainsword.
