OK so you meant "increased spread per shot" And yeah, the SC is much worse horizontally, but I've found in practice the two guns are mostly even either way
To be honest, its a more a problem with Reapers as a whole. Our Shuriken Cannon is 'eh' at best. Our Reaper Launcher is depressing and Tempest Launcher is bugged.
Exclusively while braced. SC is clearly vastly inferior if you're not braced. Its not even close to even, you're denying what you've just seen on vid here. Even keeping full burst, HB is like a stream, it changes directions, but its still a stream of bullets, SC is all over the place. Should accuracy disparity remain as it is, SC should get buffed suppression.
I still hope that one day we will get a Shuriken Cannon with "Assault", like it was quite a while back. To heck with the long ranged accuracy if that happened, reducing the Suppression would be survivable too.
I've spent a lot of time using both the HB and SC lately and the HB is way way better. Honestly once I got used to it I didn't really notice it being much behind the AC. The SC you have to work to make it pay off, but it's still fun as fuck to use. I just wish it was even on spread with the HB and I'd use it more.
Unless they nerfed it again in "content update 1" (which wouldn't surprise me at all) the SC really isn't all that bad, and I've gotten some pretty horrendous killstreaks while going full Necron.
my point is that its more likely to hit the head cause you throw more bullets at them its pure luck to hit the head with this weapons while continues firing so its more likely to hit the head with the weapon that spits more bullets i think ^^
Personally I think they should give back the no set up time to reapers. Yes it was op before with quick shot one hit kill launcher but now launcher has wind up and star swarm no longer has the punch. This would mean the wind up time would be reduced and it would effect the sc more as this would have ability to just fire when you hit the mouse like a assault weapon should. Then we should get round to fixing them weapons
Hmm,,, are you comparing the twin linked shuriken catapult, to the heavy bolter ... those i think are supposed to be the same type of weapon. Last time i compared them the TLSC fired almost 2-3x as fast as the heavy bolter ... it has been a very long time i could do one soon for you .... basically the RoF on the TLSC was for a pulse of three shots. and the rof on the HB was for 1 shot. which would make the TLSC MUCH better at close range .... but because its expelling so many projectiles its spread would deviate faster. As i said this what i found LAST time i analyzed the 2 the TLSC wound up being almost 2x the dps in close range and the HB wound up ONLY outperforming at mid and long range unbraced but lost in all other categories ... It would be interesting to do it again since so much has changed and the HB has been nerfed (i did the study when everyone was complaining about HB sniping so much). i would just take it into garrison hold down the trigger at close range on gaunt1 and see if each "pulse" nets you three floaters still ... if it does then its still a way higher DPS weapon in its optimal circumstances .... unbraced close range, or braced all three ranges .... vs the HB. the heavy bolter would only win out in unbraced, mid and long range with controlled bursts from each as the HB would suffer less from its ROF increasing spread than the TLSC. it would only work better when braced because bracing seems to magically remove almost all recoil and spread ....
... No, they're talking about the shuriken cannnon the Dark Reaper uses... But hey, informative post!
