Hello! I want to know, would it be as in the Perfect World: name of person who crafted some item will wrote at it's characteristics. Actually, I will prefer to write crafter's name and someting as "on the edge of that sword wrtitten "text text text"" or the wish of crafter to person, who will use it. Thanks in advance for your answer!
sorry but there is no typical MMO crafting in this game we will have a crafting like Upgrade system which will let you improve your equip in some way
Yeah in RPG games you role play a certain guy/toon/char.. etc and u follow his storey and make items with his cool inscriptions etc and level him up and buy a house for him. But this game is not like that, the only role you play is soldier really, other than what roles the players create themselves like EVE corporations, so you can role play, but its not a RPG... it is an MMO third person shooter, so its more combat focused like a 1st person shooter, and you don't play unreal tournament with the mind-set of crafting items and role playing the dude you picked to play as, you just jump in n Frag shiz. There will be elements of Questing in the game, if you want to call it that, but its a constant quest/battle against the tyranids that are also on the planet everyone is fighting for, so its kinda PvPvE, as all sides will have to combat tyranid "problems". Hope that helps clear up the idea of the game. Oh, and its gunna' B freakin sweet ofc
Actually.... We will be putting a bit of flavor into our Weapon Upgrading system, which means that you will be able to add some nice visual elements like ornaments and skins. An option we are investigating, if it doesn't become a localization nightmare, would be to have text engraving be part of those visual add-ons. You could unlock these Quotes through deeds and engrave them on your weapon of choice. This text could be read in the weapon's description and maybe seen on the weapon itself if we implement a 3D preview of the weapon. It wouldn't be player-created since we want all this fluff text to be super accurate lore-wise (and w/o typos). Again, we are investigating this feature. What do you think? Would it be worth the development/localization effort?
DO IT :O sounds good to me the cool thing about some wh40k chars is that their equip gets some touch of the wearer be it engraves or charms or just some scars of battle on it so please make this possible^^
ukawcnagcivua igfv oUGWE I WEIUFIfhipWEFIFIPIGFBIP waaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! Edit: is it even "reasonable", on second thought, eldar and orks might feel left out
Sounds like a great idea. I am up for as much player customization as possible. For a seasoned player I think their armor, weapons and maybe even vehicles should have to possibility of being as unique as possible. And I really like keeping everything as spot on as possible when it comes to the overall fluff, though the orks should be allowed to get away with putting almost anything on their weapons. LOL
